Since his eye-opening demise at Roland Garros, Stefanos "Stef" Tsitsipas has sunk to a husk of his former self.

The 23-year-old Greek has since been schooled by Tiafoe at Wimbers, humbled by Humbert at the Olympics, and morally and ethically defeated by Murray in New York.

The days of the Athenian-born racquetman being considered as a reputable contender are now in serious jeopardy.

I personally predict that he'll never get beyond the semi-finals of a meaningful tournament, from now until his career's end.

Yes he will and he's seriously a tennis talent. I just don't like his antics, his gamesmanship nor the way he carries himself, but he will win big in the future. It just makes me feel good about that future when I see players like Alcaraz on the rise who can beat Tsitsipas, and will keep his arrogance in check. At 18, he already carries himself with way more maturity and professionalism than Tsitsipas.

Agree completely with that! Cant stand his antics and cheating. Its not just this, i also remember in the fo final against djoker where he called several shots from djoker out only to have them called good by the umpire...

Agreed and Djokovic was quite annoyed at that. The guy has been doing this stuff for awhile now and I remember a couple of years ago, it was the shoes and shoestrings, where he was making the opponents wait. His gamesmanship and attempts at cheating are not a good look.

He needs time to hit his BH well on returns and when he wants to flatten it out for winners - he also does not slice well on low balls. So, a high bouncing, slow surface like clay is the only one where he can prevail in spite of these weaknesses. I expect him to be a Top 3 contender to win the FO, a top 8 contender at hard court Slams and a top 15 player at Wimbledon.

Well, I guess it depends how we define contender. IMO a contender is someone who's in the conversation and has a good chance of beating the top favorites (whether or not in the final). I think Tsitsipas fits that bill even if his ability to actually win a slam is more than in question

People were saying the same about Zverev in 2019 and 2020.
Tsitsipas' level since RG is about the same as Zverev's during these 2 years. But even playing crappy tennis, Zverev almost won USO last year and Tsitsipas makes 2 Masters Semifinals and only loses in 3 sets. Even in his current form, Tsitsipas is still playing like someone ranked between #8 and #15. Even with crappy tennis, he was 2 points away from beating a guy who played the match of his life and everyone already sees as a future #1.

I think Tsitsipas is done this year but he is only 23, still has PLENTY of time to improve, learn and become a better player. Don't count him out just yet.

I guess all the **** just finally hit the fan and he just didnt see it coming....something is not right with this kid, just look at that clip when he throws a fit and hits his dad, no apologie or nothing...he doesn't have all the wires connected where they should be that becoming more and more evident....
