Novak served a lot better yesterday though, where has his 1st serve gone? Goes to show you that confidence is everything in this game. He was confident in his ability to beat Fed, and everything was going smoothly, where against Nadal he's less confident, thus he misses more.

Well it`s tough to judge his other matches to this.His first match wasn`t a contest,he struggled against Devarman though,his match against Karlovic was a serving contest and yesterday he started slowly but played great after that

I'm not sure. Different matchups. I believe Fed would have gotten more cheap points off his serve against Nadal actually, and the flatter shots would have worked better against Nadal, but then Nadal can abuse Fed's BH like no other, so who knows? I believe Nadal would have won but I think it'd be a tad tighter actually.

I don't think so. nadal just knows how to deal with his grinding game. Like Murray in Australia and federer djoko grinded both of them to death and led to errors after errors. Not with Ralph however

Nadal is smart, he's just not giving Novak the pace he likes. He hits it loopy and deep and he only goes aggressive when he has a short ball or a real openning. Fed only did that for a few games.
