Stan lost 2-6 in the final set in Rotterdam against Clownfils. Sure, Stan is tougher on HC than Diego, but that's a pretty low bar. I'm perfectly comfortable with Fed's 21-3 dominance over Stan and the mentally relaxed mode he's in when playing him off-clay. If Fed retains his form from the semis/final of Dubai, he will beat Stan easily.

Clownfils hasn’t been Clownfils this year though. I saw the entire match, Stan’s hitting was great. Lacking a bit movement still though. Fed’s draw is great as well, but Nadal’s is even easier, which it has been a lot of times the last few years (USO17 comes to mind).
