Which K factor is he using? Paint job?
Not sure at the actual stick but his string setup is full alu power at 30 kilos both ways.
Del Portro uses the k95.
it's an 18x20 6.1 series with the latest K-Factor paint. Not sure what iteration of the 6.1 he's actually using.
^^What head size do you know?
His racquet head looks smaller than 95 on TV. Then again he is a BIG fellow.
It's a 95, by the way.
Ah ok thanks for the link.
That thread never reached a conclusion?
Most threads don't. And yet pepole keep nagging you to search ...
The guy is top 10 now, it is mandatory that TTW knows the real specs of his racquet!
Federer has been top 10 for couple of years, yet there is no definitive conclusion of what the hell he really used/uses.
There is now: http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=222350
Federer uses the retail K90 and has since 2002.
Hey BP, I'm sure you've seen some of the slo-mo vids of Fed hitting forehands when his racket looks so flexy it wobbles like jelly. Do you think all K90s react like this or does he have a special material set up?
No trick question here, I'm curious that's all.
Almost all racquets will wobble when it hits the ball if you view it in extreme slo-mo, but I find the retail K90 to be a pretty flexy racquet relative to most racquets on the market today. I also find the K90 to be flexier than both the nCode 90 and PS Tour 90.
Everything vibrates, when you slow time down.
Come on people the thread is about Delpotro not Federer!
Del Potro just manhandled Ferrer now let talk about his racquet instead of Ferrer's (why do we need 3 threads on Ferrer's racquet on the top anyway?)
low tension strings sends higher amplitude vibrations into the frame instead of higher frequency vibrations
I'm not 100% but it looks like some kind of Wilson 95 square inch head with a K series pj.
He uses the Ncode 6.1 version (K95 paint) with a full Alu Power string setup.
ncode n61 95?
I always thought that the nCode 95 18x20 is the best in the 6.1 series.
I'm able to took some pics next week at the Bank Austria Tennis Trophy in Vienna, to solve all problems.
It looks like the actual K factor why do you atuomatically assume it's something else?
Why do you assume it's NOT something else?
Non cynic I guess. Not everyone is a liar.
True. But everybody loves a conspiracy
So what is his real racquet? n61 95 18x20? ps6.1 95 18x20?
Maybe Federer, like sampras, had the flex increased (stiffness decreased) on his racquet to lower the power level and gain more control. It'd make sense, considering how low he strings his racquets (54-57 lbs) but nobody seems to know FOR SURE, without a doubt.
Seem to remember there was mention on a thread a while back that he used to use the Hyper Pro Staff 6.1 18x20, think there were pics showing that. Can't remember source.
So maybe HPS with paint job? Whatever it is, the guy knows how to smack a tennis ball hard and flat.
the truth? PS 6.1 classic 95, 18x20
a guy posted pics not so long ago, he boght a few of them..
same stick as Gaudio and Canas uses, funny how these argentinians still uses this great stick
I've heard he used the HPS 6.1 18x20 during his whole junior career and sticked with it.
There was a picture of him holding the HPS 6.1 18X20 at Wimbledon I think. Pretty sure he is still using the same racket.
Not sure if he uses the stretch (27.5), but the racket can be seen in the following thread
Lol! Mini Delpo!
How tall was he then?
That was the impression that I was under. If it isn't the HPS, then I would guess nCode. I doubt he is using the actual k95.
Separate names with a comma.
