Jack Draper made a Slam semi with 37 games dropped

For reference just how dominant this was, Sinner dropped 37 games and Medvedev 40 games in 4 matchs. Draper dropped 37 games in 5 matches.

This is silently one of the weakest draws to a Slam semi I have seen so far with Zhang-Diaz Acosta-VDZ-Machac and De Minaur, all playing very poorly.

And now he is likely going to be a W/O for whoever wins between Medvedev and Sinner too

One more time: Is Draper an ATG?

I don't think I've ever seen Draper play before.
I have seen De Minaur play and know he's no pushover.
Draper didn't just scrape by Alex, he beat him soundly.
So what's wrong with Draper getting to the semis?

This was not the Tasmanian Devil we are used to seeing, apparently.

I've actually always thought the guy had some potential if he could string some consistency so I guess he did. Relatively strong game but not many weaknesses and he takes it to you not just from the baseline but also the net - ala Tommy Paul. Always seemed super inconsistent though so i am surprised for sure.

22 year old guy who's never been past the 4th round of a major before gets to his first SF without dropping a set, and all anyone can say is 'weak draw'. Get a grip, fellas. He beat who was in front of him, he did it with the ease you might expect given the draw. He wasn't out there getting his serve broken multiple times by such vaunted world-class luminaries as Mackie Macdonald or Alex Michelsen. I shudder to think what you all might say about him if he had.

I'm buying popcorn so I can enjoy the meltdown on this forum if Draper somehow beats Sinner. I think y'all doing him dirty though, he's not like Raducanu levels of one-hit wonder. He's deff top 10 potential imo

Yep, Draper will lose easily to Sinner on Friday.

Draper has been hindered by injuries and cramping issues I believe... he's finally found some great form and the way he took out ADM was amazing to watch.

Not really cheating as it was the umpire's call and Draper could have thought it was a lucky double hit (allowed) rather than a hit into the court; its not always crystal clear when you are the player as anyone on here who plays a lot will know.

im probably too used to playing park tennis for no money lol to me if you’re not sure about a call then you give the point to the other player
