Jack Draper will reach the quarter-finals at Wimbledon.

Some of my ''bolder'' predictions on TTW have not come to fruition, so after a little bit of Socratic self-reflection I have decided to temper my ''calls''.

With that in mind, I make the more modest and humble prediction that Jack Draper will reach the quarter-finals at SW19.

Jack probably came to prominence - outside this sceptered isle - when he took the first set off Novak ''Nole'' Djokovic at last year's Wimbledon. But that achievement was merely a ''warning shot'' towards his peers and contemporaries.

Drapes is growing as a player, and will saunter through the first few rounds with the advantage of English grass-court acumen. Maybe he will go beyond the quarter-finals? Who knows?

i think Fery is better college player than Draper

So if he wins Wimbledon is your prediction totally false?

How does that work?

There's always a caveat, mon ami.

As much as I would love Jack to win Wimbers, I doubt that he's going to ''pull an Emma'' here.

And even if Drapes did somehow win, then I doubt that I would engage in petty point-scoring on TTW...

Draper is very impressive, and we have already seen him play very well in front of home crowds last year.

A QTR Final run at this stage of his career might still be a bit too much, but imagine the vibe and atmosphere if he pulled it off.

Good value prediction that could well provide some entertainment if Jack brings his best level.

Who is he? I hope not a Russian player because they are banned.

Jack Draper is a 20-year-old British prospect, currently ranked number 108 in the world. But that current ranking belies his talent and potential.

He impressed on grass last summer, beating Sinner at Queen's, and taking a set off Djokovic at Wimbledon.

How tall is he? He seems like a pretty big kid.

I think he's more in the 6'2'' region.

It's always difficult to tell due to the circular axioms of measured height.

I think Taylor Fritz should be used as the standard for all players. He is one of the few players who actually records his height in inches without conversion. ;)

Although Andy Murray should be able to do the same.

It's probably just me, but I already dislike him. It's probably my personal predilection of disliking Americans who seem like fratboys or meatheads.

Edit:

Just realized he's British. Could have fooled me. Not sure it changes my opinion much.
