Jack Draper will win Wimbledon 2023 (with evidence)

  1. Got himself a nightmare first-round draw against 22-time Grand Slam champion, Rafael Nadal, at the AO. Will not be so unlucky with his R1 draw again
  2. Shown he can beat Auger-Aliassime over 3 sets now
  3. Handled Brooksby nicely last year on grass before Brooksby went on to reach the Wimbledon 3rd-round
  4. Future nemeses may be formed with an iconic run this summer
  5. Only 0-1 against prime Djokovic on grass - even winning a set against him. Has the potential to handle Djokovic in front of a home crowd
Mark it in your calendars guys, #1 is loading

If he can avoid injuries and fitness issues, he can make a deep run in Wimbledon, no doubt. His last 3 defeats in Slams (De Minaur, Khachanov, nadal) were all blamed on his fitness. 4th round or QF is he has a good draw. But win the title...nope. No one can beat Djokovic on grass since 2016. And I give Hurkacz, Berrettini more chances to take advantage if Djokovic is out.

My Anglo-saxon brother, I know you would love to see another Brit win the Wimbledon.

My advice is, cherish those 2 titles sir Andy brought to the Great Britain.

Cause it will pass many years and maybe even decades untill another fellow Brit wins the Wimbledon championship.

He's clearly not interested 'another Brit'.
That's why he chose the word Englishman.

A lot of British sportspeople suffer from these kind of constant and varying injuries. I think that it's a product of our sporting culture.

The concepts of ''Giving it your best shot'' and ''never giving up'' are lionised in British sporting culture, even so that mentality may not be so conducive to the physical wellbeing of athletes.

He looks anxious in matches, especially on crucial moments. He needs to relax more and create a more relaxed and fluid game.

He reminds me a bit of Kamil who looked great against Nishikori in the first 2 sets of AO 2019, looked so powerful with big serves and groundstrokes, but he also looked very very tense and in the end he had a bad cramp and lost the match in 5 sets (retired). Draper also had cramping problem the longer his matches go.
