He is probably 'holicing on pickle ball paddles now!!!
No I've never tried it before. Just got a piece of this in my bag. Have you tried it on this frame or another?
Diamond rough is a pretty bad string. If you could somehow trade it for something else you should do that. Tour Bite Soft 17 is amazing.
Should I start the playtest for Cyclone Tour 16 vs Solinco Tour Bite Soft 16/16L/17 ?
Thought you were using Hyper G -
You definitely should do that!
Hyper-G 16L is money for me because of how it plays over the course of 10 or 12 hours. TB Soft feels better off the stringer but playability is not as good over time.
I will say that Hyper-G is not for everyone. It feels somewhat soft, but it's deceptively low powered.
Will string up one frame with Hyper G, but it will be March before I can hit again. I want you to try CT 16g vs TBS if you don't have time to string I do. The string is on me. Stringing is about all I can do because of my back.
By the way, you know the 4.0 who uses the PDs. He took one look at Hyper G and turned his nose. Lol He is a mostly grey and black kind of guy, so bright green wasn't his thing.
What does he use in his PD?

Don’t you miss running?Hey All! I googled myself and this thread came up I thought I would just post an update to let everyone know what's going on. About 2 years ago I tried pickleball
and was immediately hooked. The social aspect of the game and the unique-ness of the game was appealing to me. It's a combination of tennis, ping pong and paddle ball. Imagine playing ping pong while standing on top of the table. At the higher levels, it takes a lot of skill and is a game of not making errors, even more so than tennis. I continued to play both sports for a while, but my tennis game suffered. The timing is very different and I struggled going back and forth between sports. I found myself having more fun with pickleball, so I dropped tennis and just focused on that. It's been a lot of fun and I have met so people and made lots of great friends along the way. I do miss tennis sometimes, but for now, it's pickleball for me. I hope all of you forum regulars are still doing well and enjoying yourself in whatever sport you are participating in. If you ever get the chance, give pickleball a try...it might surprise you
So what's the best 11 oz paddle for pickleball?
Jack.. Tell'em about your reviews..
Don’t you miss running?
good to hear you’re back Jack!Well I'm back to playing tennis again after a +2 year layoff. Just picked up a new Head Instinct Touch MP and signed up for a singles league at 3.5. I'm curious how I do now that I haven't played in forever. I was playing 4.0 when I last played.
Welcome back, pickleball is huge everywhere now..I still prefer tennis due to PB throws off my distance for tennis..also not enough variety and picking up the balls so many times is bad for my back..But socially; making friends it's great and i want to get my wife into it since she can't play tennisHey All! Welcome back Jack
jack.. string at 48lbs. or maybe even lower depending on string..the Touch is not like prior version.
Dont forget...power wins this game...
That holds true in any sport...play flawless....you win...
Jack, I hope in true 11oz-spirit you will try the soon to be released Wilson Clash
You definitely should do that!

Hit with the Touch Instinct MP today for about an hour. Was strung with full multi at 51 lbs. Found power level good enough. Noticed the dampened feel but didn't mind it. Thought it did a nice job of smoothing out vibrations. Overall pretty user friendly racquet. Now my game on the other hand.....yikes! Timing and spacing were off. I was fine when rallying from the back with enough time to setup and hit, but when rushed I was missing a lot. Returns were the biggest issue. Volleys were great. Serves OK, except missing too much. Just gotta work on early prep and spacing/timing.
Only problem I have with Origin is the price. I switched to Tecnifibre Black Code 4S a while back because I can get reels of it for dirt cheap from a place in the UK, and it’s a softish copoly with good tension maintenance.Hyper-G / Origin hybrid is where it's at!

I’m happy you’re back Jack. You were the light of positivity on these boards 10 or so years ago. I will always follow you.
Hey Jack. Good to have you backPlayed my first singles match in around 3 years last weekend with the Touch Instinct MP and the racquet did well for me. I was competitive against a mid level 4.0 and was quite happy with that for my first match back after so long. I actually was ahead in the 2nd set but ended up losing it 5-7. The Instinct seemed to have enough power so that I could add pace when needed. Very happy with it right now. I also tried a Graphene Touch Speed S the day and that one was real good too. Was very stable for a 10.7 oz. racquet. It actually didn't feel much lighter to me than the Instinct. Either one of those are great choices.
Hey Jack. Good to have you back
Stick with the 11 plus oz sticks. The sub 11 oz always fall short when strung with full poly and or against a hard hitter
