No the ATP media absolutely deserves the blame for this.
They are doing everything that they can to dance around WADA'S appeal. They think that if they ignore the problem that it will just go away. But they are just one part of the problem. The ATP not only agreed to waive the provisional ban, but they also worked with Sinner to help release the story. They chose when to release it at (around the time of the US Open) and they declared him as being not responsible, right away. They are in on the cover-up.
You really should consider looking into the basics of how the TADP works. As far as the appeal of a provisional suspension the ATP, of course, has no involvement as it has no involvement in the TADP other than requiring it’s players to adhere to it.
“A player may appeal a provisional suspension to an independent tribunal chair (appointed by Sport Resolutions). If the appeal is successful, the provisional suspension will be lifted, and the player can continue to compete whilst an investigation takes place. If the appeal is dismissed (or the provisional suspension is not appealed), then it will be announced publicly after a minimum of 10 days have passed after the pre-charge letter was sent.”
As far as the ATP/ATP media and it’s behavior refer back to my earlier post. The ATP is not a nuetral entity nor a news organization. It’s a player-tournament owner association. It‘s interest is in promoting and protecting players, tournaments and tennis. If a challenger player is involved in an ADRV they may throw them to the wolves. If the #1 player is involved in an ADRV they circle the wagons. The latter is neither surprising nor inappropriate.
Is it possible Mr. Hovell the independent tribunal chair in this particular case decided to jeopardize his private legal practice and reputation by — what? — taking a bribe from the ATP to overturn a provisional suspension which underlying case was going to be fully investigated and adjudicated in any event. I guess anything is possible but you can come up with a cockamamie story for anything. If you are more interested in conspiracy theories and coverups please excuse my interruption and carry on.
I’ll tell you an area I think unfair to players generally. Both Carrot appeals were lightning fast. Imagine the resources required. The hours put in on an expedited basis by his law firm and lining up whatever experts and other materials were involved in his putting together his appeal. I don’t think some random player would have the same ability to mount a defense, especially so fast.
It’s also possible the ATP stepped in to help speed the appeal process by reaching contacts at the ITIA and requesting they contact their client Sports Resolutions to speed things along. The time frame is very impressive. Two days to reverse the initial provisional suspension.

If you want some conspiracy catnip consider whether Sports Resolutions gets dropped down the line if the provisional ban is upheld.
