Jason Goodall doing excellent for ESPN

Great to see Jason Goodall part of the ESPN team. He was not introduced during the first day of coverage, maybe he was hired as a temp? or replacing Johnny Mac who seems MIA. What's up with Goodall on ESPN?

Hope he stays, he's fantastic. Hope ESPN brings in Robby Koenig too. ESPN's team is star studded and stacked.

Jason Goodall brings a great combination of elements to the booth:
the wisdom of a coach,
the personality of a broadcaster,
and the excitement of a player.

I have always wondered why the industry favors former name players over guys like goodall. This guy is clearly a hard worker, too. Always improving. Bet that is why we are seeing and hearing him on espn. They are smart to give him more work.

I believe we had Jason on the Maria match today (here in India). Usually i think i've been hearing Robbie K in the last few matches.

The commentator was talking about having a little daughter in the crowd in some other match. Was that Jason ? (It could also be Al Trautwig, i often confuse their voices).

I think it's great that ESPN brought him onto the team. Although they don't really seem to be utilizing him that much yet. I don't recall him commentating a match. The few times I've heard him have been some short technical segments, like comparing the serves of Keys + Serena.

Wayne Ferreira is the new top dog in commentary. He offers lots of superb insights and does it in a low key kind of way.

The flip side is the other newish guy who was doing it alongside him a few times who he referred to as Jacco (sounded Dutch or similar) was complete rubbish. He's not former player Jacco Eltingh is he?
