Jeff Salzenstein's Take on Djokovic and his Injury

Agree on Murray. However, I believe Djokovic will sort out his elbow for sure but it may take longer that previously thought.

Please don't go to a holistic practitioner if you have an anaphylactic reaction (he should've listened to his friends). You need to call for an ambulance/go to ED and have epinephrine/antihistamine/steroids.

It's this kind of bogus advice from quacks that gets people killed. The guy should stick to tennis, forget the medical quackery. No amount of cold showers/meditation/quiet rooms will stop your airway closing, due to anaphylaxis...

I like his videos but this BS is dangerous - even if it wasn't life threatening - it may be for someone else. I'll watch the rest of his video now (rant over).

Its not just his elbow, he lost his heart
Agree. I think it's more personal problems tbh.
You guys think that heart/personal problems caused Djokovic to bail out of the second week of Wimbledon, skip the entire 2nd half of the year including the USO, train relentlessly at the gym to stay in elite physical shape despite not swinging a racket and then pull out of his only opportunity to get a tune up before the AO?

Interesting, very interesting

Jeff needs to learn the art of brevity.
But we will give him some slack since its a live stream blog/chat/rant/update. Kinda like a virtual meet-up, its good for his fan base and supporters.

BTW I think Djokovic stuff starts at 20ish minutes in.

His shots changed, was hittin corners, now hitting the service line. He lacks the cofindence to hit deep.

I like djok aside from bouncing the ball 20 times before each serve, but he isnt the same now, looks possessed.

This seems to be a career-threatening injury for Djokovic. 6 months off, four and a half months without picking up a racket only to have the pain returned? That does not sound good. At the very least he'll likely consider more invasive treatment, which will take him out of the game even longer with no guarantee of success.

Its just aging and success. He needs something or someone to light the fuse. Personally, maybe going for Sampras and Nadal record might be it. Problem with Sampras record is he's 3rd in line, so more personal than record breaking.
I think it all hinges on how easy it is. If he can roll Fedal without huge devolution he'll be ok.

Credit to his quack to be honest for immediately conceding that this was too serious for her to handle and telling him to go see a dermatologist.

Not seeing that but even if true what does it have to do with the layoff?

I have been watching his videos for long and had great respect for what he had to say.
His medical advice? He should just restrict himself to tennis technique and not get into sports medicine. Hopefully it's just one off and will stop any more medical referral service.

^Ouch. Funny synopsis!^

Honestly, i really like Jeff. I remember his days on the Standpherd team (i went to grad skül their fer sbelleng and grandmmar).

On the tennis side, I think he is leagues above most teaching pros on the internet (fyb, essential, wegner, and the list is long). I also value his work more than a lot of his 90s Pac10 contemporaries (Gimel). I respect his influences (certainly tennisplayer.net, guessing maybe gary vaynerchuk).

Now, as for his embrace of the bold new world of business/mktg/entrepreneur stuff.....I'm just being a jerk. He is bold and out there doing what most of us have not.

Vamos Jefè!

I only saw some of it but basically he thinks novaks elbow problem is stemming from a breathing & hip alignment problem and he should see this doctor he knows in Denver..
he said Murray should also see this doctor..

Well... Salzenstein sounds like a pretty Jewish name, no?

*puts tin foil hat on*

^*ja, ja, of course!*^
Eh, please malaka! I tried to Latinize it...Make it more español -- El Jefé del Salziaño.
Now, it is ok, it is allrright, you got us. Now you can take your unfashionable tin foil hat ...
and replace it with this brushed silver aluminum yarmulke.

Then maybe you too can control the banking system and state-run media. I mean, The Media.

Sorry for the tangent. Back to Noishe Djokoblum. I have a feeling he will make this pilgrimage to Colorado before Indian Wells.

ok, I got it, he finally talks about it. There is some sense in what he is talking about. body alignment is very important in staying injury free. So I think Novak should give Jeff a call, Novak has nothing to lose but few minutes of his time. Novak not doing much due to injury anyway, why not ? NOVAK, if you are listening,, please give Jeff a call, he knows what he is talking about ,,, he went to Stanford................. Go Cardinal.

Absolutely, while Novak is injured and out of action and can't even hit a forehand, Jeff has been a top 100 player and competed with vigour in many AO qualies. To top it all, made it to the main draw once. He got all his illness and injuries fixed very fast using breathing and body alignment rules.
The new breathing rule - if you forget to breathe for more than couple of minutes you may suffer bad consequences including irreversal damage to your existence.
Go Jeff!

Coaching and training knowledge has NOTHING to do with how good of player you were on the tour........................Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I think we should all Tweet to Novak to contact Jeff if he wants to regain that #1 spot and stay injury free in 2018

A multi pronged approach - let's have a white house petition, gofundme page and setup http://drbretfornole.com to get Djokovic contact Dr Bret in Colorado (an hour's drive in some unidentified direction from Denver).
How hard it's going to be find all sport medics named Bret within 1 hour drive from Denver? Do we have anyone from Denver to help?

Yes, atp2015. Do not fear. Jeff will direct Nolé to the man meant to fix him. It is a Physiotherapist named Brad. He is listed as Bradley Fizzio. His office is not really just one hour's drive from Denver. Jeff was just trying to play down the distance to make this happen. Brad actually practices at a resort/hotel in an undisclosed remote mountainous region in the Rockies.

This mysterious and talented Fizzio has been taking care of all manner of elite clientele at the Overlook Hotel for several generations now -- treating the families of venerable tycoons, politicians, authors, bartenders, elderly ladies, twin girls, scatmen, and boys with bigwheel scooters.

If we can contact Nolé and convince his team to invest three visits to Fizzio, Jeff will make the time to collect Nolé from Stapleton Airport, and drive him very quickly to the Overlook, tackling the tennis portion of Nolé's treatment on the drive.
Once the technique and the mind is straight, they will arrive at the Overlook, and Brad Fizzio will greet them with a snowcat near some distinct tall Evergreen hedges at the back of the property.
As it is wintertime, there are currently no guests at the Overlook -- just a caretaker/Fizzio, who will have plenty of time and resources to devote to Jeff and Nolé. His suite for physiotherapy is suite 237. This is where when the alignment and all of the holistic work will happen.

Brad's methods are not orthodox.
His tools include a warmup jog through a lifesized maze,
An axe,
and an arcane therapy known as repetitive typing.

Atp2015, our gofundme page will not be necessary. Also, i just checked it, and according to the backoffice side of the app, it somehow has amassed a balance of negative five hundred Euros. Sad for Nolé.

Please immediately tweet Vajda, andre, boris, radek, craigO, marko, djordje, dijana, jelena, and baby stefan....and urge them to get Nolé on a plane to denver.

Oh. If you are in Miami, and a certain hip, groovy ladies man named scatman approaches you, do not listen to the scatman's warnings.

Someone in one of the Mediterranean islands was practicing buggy whip forehand with his left hand after eating lunch with his right hand. He was clutching his knee tightly in between pulling his shorts and stuffing something up his nose. Do we give him Dr. Frizzio's phone or should we avoid him like plague?

Jeff is different. he graduated from Stanford,, that makes him credible and able to fix Novak's recurring injuries. Go Cardinal

Or maybe Rafito has some nextlevel guy in Spain -- like Brad, a shaman not a showman.

Christ Jeff's videos are rubbish. Every video he makes could (should) be 5 mins long. He waffles for 75% of every single video he makes. I've seen him give some good tips on the odd video but having to endure all the pointless waffle makes them unwatchable.
