Jennifer was in the hospital for an over dose of drugs.
It's only rumoured at this stage, but if proven correct, so sad. Such a troubled life...
a lot of newspapers are headlining it so i doubt it'll be a total lie ...
terrible, hope she recovers and gets her life back on track
She is another example of a young star (13) who was under huge pressure to perfprm throughout her growing up years. And had a pressure parent. Sad life IMO.
in my opinion its also a part of lifestyles and personalities...
( + environment )
young tennis players who dont preform that well should have more stress/pressure because they might not have the financial safety net
U know some people can handle it and some cant.....whos to say she wouldnt have ended up like this had she not had a tennis career anyways....I think its easy for people to make up excuses for things like this happening, but you dont think about everyone that had gone thru similar things and never ended up in drugs and trouble....
I commend Joan Baez's song to you: "There but for the grace of God go you or I"
This would be more surprising had it not happened. She's always been a bit of a mess, no?
so great to find a fellow tecy tfight 295 user!
But really, there's another forum this should be in.
Jen was my favorite female player for a while. What a shame. Hope she gets better!
It's been confirmed - apparantly the statement her family released said she suffered from an "accidental overdose of prescription pain medication" but that she's now recovering in a hospital in Florida. Apparantly she still has problems - hopefully she can get better.
Where have you been, CEvertFan?
I remember Matt Cronin breaking the story of her dating this guy a few years ago & then apologizing after she denied even knowing him.
I figured Wimbledon had something to do with all this.
"Dale DaBone" - wonder why it hasn't turned up as a TW username yet.
