Jim Courier Backhand?

I'm trying to change from a one hand backhand to a two hand backhand. I can't seem to get the motion and hit cleanly and well with a normal two hand backhand grip. I tried moving it way extreme and hitting it way in front similar to how Jim Courier hits his backhand. Feels much more natural to me (coming from a one hand backhand.) With a more conventional backhand grip I can't help but shank the ball. How is this compared to a normal two hand backhand? What are the pros and cons?

im not nviati, but generally at the 4.0 level and under, using a 1hbh could be a huge weakness in your game. also, it's harder hit back harder shots since you're only using one arm instead of two.

as for nviati, hitting out in front may be natural for you because that's what you're used to from using the 1HBH. on a traditional backhand, try taking it a bit later and keep your elbows as close to your body as possible.
