LOL @ that profile pic of Soderling. He looks like a thug in a prison line in that picture.

Their style is much more similar than Sasha's v. Polito.
Of course I hope for Polito in straights -- more for him to be able to save for the rest of the tournament -- but I'm thinking it will take three.

(And quite possibly that it will be three close ones.)

Del Potro in 2 sets,

Soderling seems to be in a weak form since Indian Wells ( foot injury ) and he may have a bad preparation, lack of training for this tournament,

I think Soderling might have his mind elsewhere ( clay season )

I have no idea, Delpo still not at his best and is probably fatigued but has positive H2H while Sod is still high ranked player but was recently sick @IW..

I say 3 set match.

Del Potro must be feeling some fatigue. He's played a ton of tennis in the past 8 weeks...Memphis to San Jose to Delray Beach to Indian Wells to Key Biscayne. It remains to be seen how much he has left in the tank.

Anyone know of a site for streaming live coverage?

It should be a very close match, neither player is currently at their best.

Del Potro hasn't quite regained all the power on his forehand stroke since injury.

Soderling's last match was the first time he had played in over 2 weeks, recovering from his ankle injury, and a virus which kept him in bed for 5 days.

Very tough 3rd round match for both players.

First match on Stadium is now finished (Fish d Gasquet 64 63)
Next, there are two WTA matches to be played. Then ...

The time of Del Potro v Soderling depends on the length of the Clijsters/Martinez-Sanchez match

Vamos Delpo!

The delicious irony that would come from Murray getting back to number 4 despite being in the worst slump of his career is something that cannot be passed up.

i'm too busy watching mika v granny to figure this out

could you please explain how that's gonna happen just by robin losing? ... thx!

JMDP. Only a matter of time before he takes his rightful place as #4. Soderling and Murray have done a nice job keeping the seat warm for him. They can fight it out for 5 and 6.

Two generation XXL ball strikers...

Looking for long rallies... beat eachother to death and go out next round

Delpo serving well so far, but his Soderling has been taking it to his second serve. Delpo needs to get more first serves in (more than most previous matches so far this year) to stand a chance. I think that the difference in service consistency might be the difference for Soderling to win this match.

Delpo is just a smarter player compared to Sod... he can match his power and then some too... he is going to win
