Joey Chestnut is a better athlete than Tom Brady and it's not even close

Chestnut is indeed a living legend though benefitted some from Kobayashi refusing to sign an exclusivity contract with Major League Eating
I wondered where the Kobameister went.....sorry to hear about that, and him being shut out for not signing a contract (especially with an outfit going by the absurd name of 'Major League Eating') sounds like b.s.

Can I be honest? I could only 'stomach' about 0:20 seconds of watching people shoving & jamming wet hotdog buns into their grotesquely bulging mouths; they looked to be on the verge of gagging and/or puking........grossed out.

He is the Thomas Edison and Babe Ruth of professional eating, pioneering the "separation and dunking" method of eating the hot dog and the bun separately, permitted by the rules, the bun quickly dunked first in a glass of water so it slides down the throat. Kobayashi has been competing elsewhere, at least up until a few years ago and perhaps still, and wiki credits him with these world records:
110 bunless hot dogs in 10 minutes
13 grilled cheese sandwiches in one minute
337 buffalo wings in 10 minutes
41 lobster rolls in 10 minutes
57 cow brains (17.7 pounds) in 15 minutes
159 tacos in 10 minutes
62 slices of pizza in 12 minutes
1 cheesesteak in 24.3 seconds
21.3 pounds of soba noodles in 12 minutes

(my Brooklyn based daughter started going to the Nathan's event when Kobyashi was in his prime and rhapsodizes that he was "an incredibly elegant eater.")

The wings one blows my mind. They all do but I can't even picture the wings one

Event organizers should seriously reconsider the "separation and dunking" of the bun into water, rule. It 's totally disgusting, makes me want to puke and never eat a hotdog again. Nathan's want to sell hotdogs and make their product look good, right? LOL. I prefer the Hebrew National hotdogs anyhow. More expensive, but worth it.
