Going through this Black Knight at a rapid pace.

Is everybody else breaking crosses?

I have always wondered why some peeps always break mains and why some snap crosses more. I rarely ever break my cross strings. If I do break my strings, I am willing to bet on it that it will be the mains and just a little above the center. Not sure what the theory behind that is really.

I almost always break mains. I've broken 3-4 crosses in BBO/ALU setups out of hundreds of stringjobs. It was maybe 50/50 with Kevlar mains and ALU crosses, felt like I broke crosses if I hit more spin and mains if I hit flatter.

A few timea I broke a main and a cross at the same time, once I broke two mains and one cross.

Hi buccaneer Henry Morgan,
I asked for your impressions about Adrenaline, which I already knew as I've red lots of your posts. I wanted to know about Savage White, but I misstyped.

Hit with Hyper G 17 for a couple hours last night, and I wasn't particularly impressed. After hearing so much about it being a spin monster, I didn't see the ball jumping off the court more than Volkl Cyclone Tour, Yonex Poly Tour Strike, ALU Power Feel, or ALU Power Soft. More importantly, I found it inconsistent anytime you didn't hit exactly in the sweet spot.

Once I pop it, I'm finally going to be trying the original ALU Power. @J011yroger what tension do you recommend for my Yonex? It's a 95 with a 16x20 pattern. I strung all of the above around 45-48 because they were mostly1.20mm (strike was 1.25mm), and so I was thinking of going lower for ALU since it's a 1.25mm and known to be stiffer.

Best spin strings I have hit with are TBHB7 1.25 and Hyper G 1.25. That being said you are getting ready to hit with the best poly ever made, Alu Power. Not all about the spin with Alu. Playability is top notch.

Nah same range ALU is more powerful than those others.

Jolly my man. In terms of control how does BBO compare with ALU Soft and 4g soft?

Planning on stocking up on strings, Luxilon ALU power soft is extremely cheap right now. Want something with maximum playability, I don't typically break strings. I'm having trouble choosing something out of BBO, 4g soft and alu soft.

What are your picks brother?

If you don't break strings there is no reason to use original. I'd go with the ALU soft because 4g sucks.

Finally tried the original ALU Power. As a guy with arm issues, I was surprised at the lack of arm issues with this string. [emoji1787]

It did not feel stiff/brassy like Hyper G. I strung it only one pound lighter than Hyper G (45lbs) and if anything had to dial back my swing a bit. Great string so far and can’t wait to keep playing it more than the two hours I did last night.

I was going to go with ALU Power Soft or Feel but now I have to wait to further test the original. Dang it haha.

This school bus yellow crap was better than 90% of new strings out there. $2/set first gen trash poly better than Hyper G and Tour Bite put together.

have u tried Isospeed cream? I heard it was soft and crisp/lively but I was wondering what the launch angle is like. I’ve used yonex PTP/PTS/PTF which i think are good but low launch angle results in balls dumped into net a lot. Jus strung up dunlop black widow mains and PTP crosses in my DR98 today and hit pretty well but still dumping lotta balls into the net. Still in search of the holy grail :-/

Burgundy Yonex stuff as expected didn't last long and was turrible towards the end.

Also broke my first main on the Black Knight, crosses were paper thin so I was quite surprised to see a main go.
