Judy Murray says of her son's next target

"Federer acknowledged that Andy had grown up a lot on court. He said it took time for players to mature.

Federer probably doesn't know that the comments he made in Dubai this year, after Andy beat him in the first round, may have provoked a realisation in Andy that he had to become more aggressive more often if he was to challenge for the big prizes. "

See, everyone was like "Oh, Federer, what a sore loser" when he said that he was surprised that Murray was still too much of a pusher after losing to him Dubai. Turns out he was right and it helped Murray refocus and retool his game to achieve his best results.

Another great example of reality proving the TW hackers wrong again.

Judy Murray confirms what I said during Murray's match with Federer, that he had been practicing big on serve ever since USO.

So nice to have mom fly first class to bring you shoes:

That's the thing with Andy, he can beat you in every way possible.

He can out Santoro, Santoro! Hit you off the court Gonzalez style.. or he can serve you off the court like he did to Federer at the weekend.

Very often you see him playing 4 or 5 different ways in a single match. The only area I think he needs to improve is the second serve, and maybe keep the 1st serve percentage up but he has been doing that of late so hopefully he's got that sorted.

murray's first serve is now one of his major weapons and the weapon the other players are going to be scared about. just imagine karlovic having decent groundstrokes and you'll have a very formidable player. hope murray continues to amaze us.

I havnt been amazed by Murray's game. He is a good returner and makes some good decisions during the game, can mix it up effectively and a good tactician. None of these have been to amazing level as far as I am concerned.

By the way, his game is one of the least exciting to watch.

Murray is everything choker Henman wasn't

completely different styles of course

i don't think Murray could be as good as Fred Perry, but i do think Murray is on course to become the greatest British player in the open era

serve, backhand, mental strength- all the tools

His serve was never really bad, it was actually fairly big at a young age. He could put it in about 130 (which is about where he can put it in right now) back a few years ago. The only problem with Murray was that he could not keep a first serve percentage over 40%. Now, he's serving at least 55% to about 65%, which is very good for him.
