Just got the Diadem Elevate today from Diadem Sports. Really excited to try it out. Looks like a high quality racquet for sure.

Come with Diadem Solstice Power 16L (didn’t mention the tension though) strung weight is 327/11.5oz with overgrip.

But what's it's marketing schtick? Gotta have hyper extreme vibranium weave graphite plus somewhere in the frame to make it work like magic.

The racquet is coming in August so at that time we may see all the marketing and advertising for it...right now I have no idea. I’m gonna start playing with it this weekend

I have the demo as wellI put 3g @12 and 6g top of the handle. Plays well stock so will see with added weight. If the rain stops maybe i’ll be able to go out and hit today.

I played a little bit yesterday found the stock strung weight at 11.5oz is decent but the SW is in lower 320 about 322 I believe. Not sure if it’s just my case? How about yours?

Nuh it’s different in a couple of ways - bigger head size for sure

It does looks like a Head Racquet and plays like a Head racquet as well. Like a older Youtek IG prestige S

Yeah, it is alright stock but a little light for me. I don’t have a way to measure SW but it did need more. 3g i added @12 should bump up SW by around 10pts. I also added weight top of the handle so I am @337g now.

so I got the lead figured out -

2g@12
2g@3+9
2g@V throat

Rubber band dampener, overgrip.

I really liked rallying with this - controlled spin, can do little wrong...but in a match I got blown out in the first set, I’m not a great defensive player and my ball was just not doing a lot of damage. Similar to Ultra Tour in that regard - then only way to put the ball away against good mover is to go low, hard and flat.

Switched to my leaded DR98 Light for the second set and instantly had my opponent on the back heels, my spin coming in deep and above his forward strike zone.

1-6, 6-4, 6-0

sounds like the low power and controlled spinny response makes it a good match for a gut / poly hybrid. maybe the elevate is the the open patterned lm radical i search for. unfortunately there are no demo racquets available for european players.

Would love to see them release a 325g -330g version of this frame, that would be exciting.

For me it wouldn't. Can make it 325-330g MY way anytime I want.

this is my current racquet and basically didnt bother with the Nova (wife's racquet)

Strung mine with VS/RPM Blast
Silicone in the handle and lead on top

i think they are on the road to something great

First thing to mention is about the grip. It’s leather grip which is a good thing (not a typical leather grip though looks like a synthetic one with holes and pattern in it) doesn’t play like a leather grip also. And one big issue is it makes the grip super bulky. My size 2 grip feels like a size 3 in other brands. Keep that in mind if you decide to purchase this racquet. Not sure about the other model though...Performance wise it’s decent. I don’t really care about the tech behind the frame lol but it plays extremely like a Head racquet. Also it looks like a Head as well. It’s a softer frame but has average power unlike the Youtek prestige I played before. Feel is pretty good compare to my customized PO7. Spin is average for a 16/20 pattern, not as good as PO7 for sure. The stock string is not my favorite so on the second week I cut it and replace it with my trusty tour bite 16L. It plays decent in full bed poly. I’m not a hybrid guy so I didn’t try hybrid.

^ Yes I noticed that too.

I measure 4 1/2 the "old" way, actually use 3/8 but ordered 1/4 size demo because they didn't have my size. Still, I had no problem playing with just one over-grip, so it seems a size bigger than usual.

What comparisons can you make between the Elevate and DR 98s? Currently have two DR 98s that feel great, but also really want to try out the Elevate!

elevate is as comfortable as dr 98, not a big difference in power. the major difference is the spinpotential, if you hit a loopier ball like kyrgios for example, then stay with the dr98. if you think the dr98 lacks length control on flatter shots and your prefer a lower trajectory (f.e. like wawrinka) than you should demo the elevate.

Appreciate the response! So really it just comes down to launch angle between the two racquets, the DR 98 having more spin potential. Still want to demo the Elevate really badly, but they’re out of them on the Diadem site :/

Less control & less power? Never heard of that before to be honest. Should have more control being softer and having an extra cross

Yep, the stringbed felt vague to me and I had trouble controlling the ball on anything that wasn't a full stroke compared to more crisp and direct DR98 stringbed.

DR98 has stiffer loop, softer throat but elevate seems to have reversed flex distribution with more loop flex, stiffer throat.

Is the buttcap easily removable like the DR? For putting lead tape, putty, etc. for added weight.

Might be ordering one for myself soon. I dunno. Was kinda excited about trying one, but then every other day I feel depressed and don't feel like playing tennis. OR I remember that I'm only playing with some <3.5 hackers and it's not worth it.

I deal with depression as well - and it can be hard as hell sometimes to even leave my apartment but once I convince myself to go out there on the court it seems to just alleviate it all because I’m not thinking of anything but tennis in that moment.
You should try one - I’ll even buy two Elevates if you do ;)

Anyone else bit the bullet on this one?
I caved in and bought 2 since a Diadem rep directed me to a store in EU which picked very similar frames using a Head RDC (weight, balance and swingweight). Still debating what to string them with...

A couple of loose thoughts...
Nice quality finish - semi matte, nothing like the velvet crap Wilson is currently flooding us with.
Very wide main spacing.
Grip is on the larger side - I recommend going a size down.

Uhmm...my son is a Diadem sponsored player and not trying to hide it. Personally tried the raquet (I play with a Wilson Blade) and loved it. I love hitting balls with him and his raquets. I tried a couple of strings with it and Solstice Power by far was the best (Lynx, RSLyon,). I was worried about the 16X20 pattern and thought it would be underpowered but like you stated above it has wide spacing giving extra pop and good amount of spin. You can even try a 16g string and still feels good.
