Wanted to post because I am very impressed with these shoes...

I have always used adidas...never owned another brand...used the barricade for 5 years.

Last week I ordered some Adidas Vs after reading that they are lighter...also liked the look. They arrived and off I went to play in them. After 2 days I had big blisters on the top of one foot and I could hardly walk!

Anyway sent them back and got a refund....they were not made correctly in the factory (so they say).

So I went out this morning and tryed on a load of shoes in a local shop...I know the guy who owns it so took my time. They have asics, K Swiss, adidas, nike..you name it.

He passed me this shoe in my size and it felt amazing...

Played a match this morning and im very impressed with the comfort, ventilation, support and design of this shoe. They feel light on your feet and are just so comfortable.

I just bought these same sneakers, and I've been a diehard Adidas Barricade X user. Right out of the box they are so comfortable, and don't require a break in period (B5's required 1 mo to break in). My feet are slightly wide, and from what I've read about Barricades, they 4's and 5's are slightly narrower than my original favorite, 2's. I actually think they have more cushioning than the B5's. We'll see how long they last though... the B5's lasted 2mos, so if the MV4's last at least that long, I might stick with Prince (also try the others, eg. MS4).

The only negative (IMO), is that Prince shoes are pretty ugly compared to Adidas Barricades... not a factor for me when buying, but thought I'd mention it :p

Can anyone compare these to the T10's? I have a pair of T10's and have not been impressed with the cushioning and found them a bit harsh.

Where did you find that color? I still have the MC4's and love them. From what I understand the MV4's are just better ventilated MC4's?

I'm in the UK...just found them at a local shop. They are made for better ventilation yes.

IMO the MV4's are just a bit airy than the T10's. Own a pair of MV4's in all black and silver. I wear 'em on the court or off the court with jeans. Great shoe.

I went for the MS4 for maximum stability, and they have the velcro strap across the top to really lock you in, they're great and sit well upright, not as fast as Vapors (goes without saying), but they're strong and solid. Good shoes are worth the extra money...

I've usually played in just cheap stuff for too long and am here to avow - you can buy your way out of rolled ankles and bruised heals!

If I went through a pair of shoes in two months I would not care how they looked because I would be getting another pair soon enough. Prince shoes have been getting good reviews as of late.

Eh, oh heck new versions already out, I see them now...

Oh and the women's versions

Seems like outsole and shank are the same as prev version (tho precision tubes are diff), while the upper is of course v different.

They do seem fairly indestuctible...

I just bought the new version OC1 and they are great.

Anyone else gotten the new OC-1s? I'm a longtime T9 user and will probably pick up another pair before I invest in the newest model.

The OC-1 looks similar, color-wise, so if it has a similar comfort, I might try it out.

MV4 is an outstanding shoe. It breathes very well, it fit me great, and it's very stable. Only downsides would be a touch heavy and maybe not as good of a cushioning as my Cage I's (but, then again, what cushions better than that shoe?).

Just set these back for the 6mo guarantee... Prince's turn around time was less than 1 week.

Used them for 110 hrs (11 weeks ~10hrs/wk) on hard courts (baseliner)

Is a bit wider in the toe box area (compared to my previously used sneakers: adidad barricade V's).

My new shoe of choice :) Way cheaper than the Barricade V's ($80 vs 120)

I just saw these on sale for $60 and I made the purchase. I'm coming from K-Swiss Stabilor (love it, but it's a bit heavy) and looking forward to the switch.

The white and blue colorway is pretty nice looking, as well and the black and silver. They fit a little longer in the toe than the T9 Roadsters and are a little more narrow, but they stretch.

The new version, the OV-1, is quite different: more narrow, but not by much, and much longer in the toe...I had to go down a half size as a result. I've always worn and 11.5 in Prince shoes (Vipers, T9 Roadsters, MV4's), so the sizing of the OV-1 was a bit of a shock. I'm very happy with them and they're really aesthetically pleasing.

I have the MC4's very comfy, although for high level play the are too high imo. I like the Adidas CC stuff a bit better.
