I just read a book called "Pyro Marketing." Great little book, it talked about "product evangelist." One definition of evangelist is, "marked by militant or crusading zeal," Guys, there are a number of these on the tennis warehouse forum. Can't tell all of you and each of you how much I appreciate that. It means so much when people understand and benefit from the Wonder Wedge. Thanks so much.

I was the last one to leave the court last night, and some of the bigger guys came by and started razzing me. I tried to fight back, but eventually they gave me a Wander Wedgie. It's painfull, man. I'm still not walking quite right.

Hi Tony,

I would be very interested in what you have to say. Make sure you practice and experiment with it. Depending on how well you move your hand on the handle in going from grip to grip now is going to determine how quick you master the WW.

Thanks for giving it a try.

What is this "wonder wedge" made of? Plastic? Is it hollow, or squishy, or is it solid and hard? It looks pretty interesting, I might order one... I just read the testimonial from "Michael", all I can say is "Wow!"

Hello Dark Knight,

Well, I hope it is a good pair of tennis shoes. LOL Hell, that is just a down payment on a decent pair of tennis shoes. LOL

The WW is made of Sorbothane, a fantastic shock absorption material. It is solid. I would not describe it as "squishy" as Jonny F did. I would describe it as having "Quasi-Liquid properties which enable high mechanical damping and energy absorption," that is right from their brochure. Tip: For high performance players like "Jonny F," you can actually control the firmness by just how hard you pull the tape when you attach it. I recommend two wraps of tape. If you use the SW grip and move back to the Cont or EBH for your serve and backhand it is a "must try," if you are a serious about your tennis game and improving.

Jonny F, appreciate your support.

Wimbledon, baby, get busy!

I'm ordering some Vapor S2s from here, maybe my mother can spot me like 15-20 bucks so I'll have some for that oh-so-intriguing "Wonder Wedge". I do use a SW forehand and continental for serve, but once in a while I like to flatten out my forehand with an eastern grip.
I see how the WW will keep my racquet from twisting in my hand when I hit my one-handed backhand. Looks good Tim! Is that your hand in the grip demonstrations. What racquet is that? Looks like a Gamma Tour Lite?......Then in the "how to attach" it looks like a Gamma Tradition 18. Correct?

It truly does fit so much better in your hand reducing twisting.

Yup, that is my hand in the grip demonstrations. Your are right about the racquets. Thanks for taking a good look at the site.

wait...Tim Tennis you created the wonder wedge?

Yup. I call it my "vision." One day I got beat by a good friend of mine. We always played fairly close but lately he had been winning. I woke up at 3:00am and something told me the reason I was losing is I had no idea where to place my hand on the handle when I went from the forehand to the backhand grip. Something told me to tape a pencile on bevel 3. I did and my hand went straight to the SW grip on my forehand and all the way over to the Continental on the backhand. Did a few practice swings and it felt great. When I got off work that night I went to the wall and started hitting some forehands with the SW grip. My shots did not even make it to the wall. I realized I had always used a EF when I thought I was using more of a SW. I adjusted my mechanics (steeper swing path, contact point, and the hand wrist angle tilted back for the SW). I started ripping some great shots. Same thing with the C backhand. I first started hitting the ball into the ground then I realized I was moving my hand all the way over to what I call a "Full Continental," which closed the racquet face. I adjusted my mechanics and I started hitting with more spin and action then I ever had before.

That is how it got started. Oh yeah, you can tape a pencile to the racquet handle to get an idea of how the WW feels but don't go hit a lot of balls with it, bad blisters.

Thanks for asking.

Whoa! That is so freaking awesome! How ingenious you are, congratulations my man! Plus I've heard that like Andy Roddick uses a wonder wedge. Did you ever meet him? If you did, did he tell you that your product is great?

Tim tennis, to you really need to use the tape that you are also selling for the WW or can you use any other tape? If not, what's so special about it?

Ingenious, no, it is just one of those ideas that kink of pop into your head. In this case it made a lot of sense to me.

Roddick, WW, I wish. There was some talk about how he modified his handle. Never met him, would love to. I think I would convert him over to a one-handed backhand. Yikes!

If you dont have 15-20 bucks right now, Just do a search on this forum on WonderWedge and a guy used electrical tape to simulate WW. you will appreciate the WW concept. The material quality is like day and night but yiu will see how you can improve your game (again not knowing at what level you play, it is very wrong of me to say that. but assuming you are one of those normal players like me ...)

I strongly recommend WW and stand by every $ i spent on it.

You can use other tape. When the WW first came out I used to send out some kind of gauze wrap to attach it with. It was terrible for attaching the WW. I finally found the zinc oxide tape which is very thin and strong. All it is is ankle wrapping tape. I put it up on the site as a service to my customers. I hated the thought of them getting the WW and then not putting it on their racquet because they did not have any tape to attach it with.

Thanks for the questons.

Yikes! Geezer Guy, This is always a problem with different browsers. Internet explorer works well with the site. Sometimes if you maximize the screen size it clears up some of the overlay. I even have this problem when I go to google sometimes. I even upgraded the software I built the site with to try to cure this problem. Completely redid the site and I still have this problem. I do think it has gotten better.

Gosh, thanks for trying to take a look at it. That just drives me crazy. I actually have not heard that complaint for a long time.

Well, I could not delete the double post so I just had to erase the response. Well nothing is easy.

I have seen him hit a number of winners with it. They are just too few and far between. He usually just uses it to keep the ball in play and try to set up his forehand. If he could just develop it as more of a weapon I think it would change the whole dynamics of his game.

Yeah, I used to use 'em. Great low to the ground feeling, and light too! Only problem is the durability....I'll probably order the "Wonder Wedge" on Sunday or Monday...

If anybody wants some used wonder wedges, I have some that are cut by 2 cm but I have both pieces. You can recut the remaining pieces and retape them. I also have a leftover roll of that yellow tape.
