Good Lord, that is insane. We only pay $16 per match if we go indoors. Otherwise most clubs in NW Ohio/SE Michigan have outdoor courts for when summer league begins.

Tennis is one of the most expensive sports. You gotta pay to play.
True, but mostly due to geography. When I lived in VT, I would drive to Albany for a league match (an hour, but no tolls) then pay about $25 for indoor court fees. Down here in SC, no matter where I play league matches, there's no charge (and I never have to drive more than about 20 minutes). Of course, I have to pay an annual membership fee at my club ($1200 for me and wife, and no court or other fees on top of that). Now that's living the dream...

$45 for the match fee and $17 bridge toll because that's the only way to get onto Randall's Island.

And I lost!

Living the dream.

Seems like good motivation not to lose. Doesn't change the cost, but you feel better about spending it I spoze.

Not one comment before this one about a $17 bridge toll. Personally, just speaking for myself, no one else, IMHO, that's a bit high.

I own the Brooklyn bridge. Bought it from a guy a few weeks ago

(Yes I know where Randall island is and that you don’t get there via the Brooklyn bridge)

Depends on where you live. Here it's pretty darn cheap.
It’s pretty expensive in the northeast mostly because you have to play indoors most of the year. Even in summer I’ll end up playing indoors sometimes because of the rain. In NYC it’s gotta be outrageous.
