Get real. All the pros are saying this is nothing like the Old grass. they added bermuda Rye grass into the old grass to make it tougher. and now it is slow and high bouncing. they must now added even more Rye grass to make it like 90% Rye.... no wonder it is playing like clay.

They do bounce high, did u watch federer, Hewitt, roddick? The ball was bouncing shoulder high on 2nd serves! The only time I saw a good grass bounce was the last joker match when the roof was closed.

The grass courts I play on do not bounce like that- my legs can vouch for the that.

When I was at Wimbledon years ago I couldn't get over how low the ball bounced and how much knee bend u had to have.

Now these guys bash it outnfrom the baseline!

Not a good comparison- that video is from the finals when the court is at it hardest. Dry, hard ground.

I actually agree. I hope Federer does follow up on his promise (which I highly doubt the way he is going) to play past 2012 since it will allow Federer to compile a 25-7 record or something if he does. That is if Federer can even get far enough to play Nadal much anymore. Federer couldnt handle Nadal that well even when he was at his best and Nadal was still developing. Now that Federer is clearly in decline it is only going to get worse.

I dont know what he is doing of course, only those close to him would. I dont doubt he had very strong work ethic in his prime. However given his lackadaisical effort in non slam events and his obvious decline in playing level, even for his age, I wouldnt be surprised if his commitment to the game isnt so high right now.

I don't know about commitment but I do sense mental fatigue on his part.I guess that's the price you pay for living upto peoples' expectations more often than not.

Rafa wins Wimbledon on extremely slow grass, in fact it is clay with a bit of weed growing on it.

Roger wins French Open on a fast hard court, with a little sprinkle of clay to make it look orange/red.
