K Swiss Defier RS alternative

I'm onto my 5th, or maybe even 6th, pair of these over the last few years, and love them in all aspects apart from the speed in which theyh wear out.

The thing I struggle with more than anything else is finding a tennis shoe with sufficient width for my feet, which are a UK 12 (US 13) and very wide

I am quite worried that when (and if) K Swiss discontinue these shoes, I'll be stuck.

ANyone with similar issues know of a decent alternative

I hear you on this one - I have the same shoe size and just started with the RS last week after having a pair of the old Accomplish shoes I found on clearance. That was fantastic pair and broke my heart when they went after 6 months of intense play. The RS seems ok but not nearly as stable and somewhat less cushioned.

I'm gong to be taking a look at the Ultrascendor mids in the next month as those have some comments on being fairly wide and I want to get a jump on finding a model for the long run. Other KS shoes I have seen in stores do seem to be more snug. If those don't fit, I will just stock up a bit on the RS and try to make it through to a new model.

I sometimes see a different version of the Accomplish on overseas sites but am not sure if that is still made. If you are in the UK, perhaps that is still around. Maybe those Converse Purcells are similar to the RS.

I've just got some KSwiss Speedster and they are very comfortable and feel great in terms of support and foot speed.

I think I have fairly wide feet and they certainly dont pinch at all.

May worth a try and reasonably priced at £50 (compared to some).

What is the durability for you?

It depends on the surface- on Tarmac, pretty rubbish TBH, after 12 weeks or so they are showing definite signs of needing replacing (although still being serviceable)

Most of my tennis is on Artificial Grass (astro) and they tend to last 12 months on there playing 2-3 times a week.
