You hosed up the Ultrascendor. Now you've done the same thing to the Hyper Court Express. Why change a great shoe? I bought a pair of Hyper Court Express 2's this weekend. I thought they'd be better. The fit is different. Why, K Swiss, why?

It is my understanding the the Hyper Court Express is dead to be replaced by the 2 and Supreme. For those of you, like me, who like the original -- time to stock up.

Don't know about the Hyper Court Express issue but the Ultrashot 2's are fine shoes. Very supportive, well-cushioned and not overly heavy.

@PhxRacket - no, not as of now. I thought the 2's would be like the original.
What are your shoe needs/preferences? I prefer the Supreme over the Express as it is a more form fitting shoe and far more stable. And as an old guy, I really appreciate the later. The Supreme fits my wide feet well, but the fit is t like the Express which I like for coaching, but not playing in.

They are killing the Hypercourt Express? Source?

That's really sad. I just discovered it and so far it has been the perfect shoe. I actually bought two more pairs a few months back when they were on sale to stock up. I guess it was good that I did. And maybe that's the reason they were on sale.

They are super comfortable out of the box, plenty of toe room (a must for me), move well on the court, and look good.

Very sad if true.

@beltsman - my source is a close friend of mine who owns a pro shop. When I returned the 2's, I asked specifically if the originals were going to continue on. He said "No, we can't get them any more".

However, yesterday, a friend of mine brought his racket by to string. I noticed he was wearing 2's. I asked him if he liked them and he said "No, not at first, but they do have a break in. They're fine now."

Maybe all is not lost...

Thanks for the info. I guess we'll wait and see.

I loved Bigshots - the flagship, but even the Bigshot Lights were/are okay (but not as good). Hypercourt and Hypercourt Express are decent too. But, I hated Ultrashots.

Yes, great shoe and minimal changes made between 1 and 2. Hope they don't change much with the 3. Also has the 6 month warranty.

My theory about a major reason for why updates are so unsatisfactory: it's based on the common phenomenon that updates tend to be narrower and/or shorter: by shrinking, ever so slightly, a shoe's dimensions, small savings in materials can be achieved. Over tens of thousands of pairs of shoes this small savings becomes a nice pile of $$$.

For many years beginning when I first became an adult, my shoe size was invariably 9.5. That's what the shoe size measuring tool said, too. Now, it's a 10. That's not because my feet have suddenly become larger. It's that shoes are becoming smaller and we have to order larger sizes to compensate.

Ha I figured my feet were getting bigger as I have gone from size 9 to size 10 in the past 10 years. Never measured them, just assumed they were flattening out.

I don't think people's feet flatten out much if at all as they age. In fact, a common cause of plantar fasciitis is the shortening of the fascia which extend from the ball of the foot to its heel. This shortened fascia would tend to keep the foot from stretching lengthwise.

The Hypercourt Express has been my go to shoe as well. The local store had them when I went in and the Express 2. I tried both, bought the Express 2. It seemed as comfortable, more stable. I liked it. Haven't worn it for tennis, yet, however.

I heard good things about the Supreme, but they didn't have that.

Personally I was happy with Bigshot. But oh nooooo....got to update, then 2, 2.5 and then 3.0 and I suppose now nothing. I at least snagged a new pair of Light 3's from TW's recent 39.99 sale.

I’m wearing my last pair of Bigshots now. I have 9 New pair of Bigshot 2,5. That was my favorite shoe. Believe I have 3 New pair of the Hypercourt Express.

I had to return the Bigshot light 3.0. Not a good shoe for me.

I also have 3 pair of the Prince T22 from several years ago (before they ruined that shoe) and a pair of 2017 Barricades. Djokovic Shanghai edition (these were a durability replacement, but they’re kind of cool).

Glad I stocked up when I did. Shoes really suck now and they’re so expensive

It just amazes me that shoe companies, and it's pretty much all of them, take a great shoe and try to "improve" it and wind up ruining it. The Hypercourt was a great shoe. K-Swiss didn't update it, they completely remade it into something nobody bought it for. Wearing the 2's around the house, first thing you notice is they are more narrow, second thing you notice is the much more pronounced heel strike, third thing is the whole fit is tighter and stiffer. It's just a shame that manufacturers don't stick to what works; unless of course they weren't selling the Hypercourt....

I guess there's always Diadora. Or heck, TW's got Prince...

Agree. I think Nike had the perfect formula with the vapor 9.5, cage 3, air court ballistic line, breathe free. And adidas with the barricade. If it ain’t broke, why fix it? I seriously wish they hadn’t gotten rid of these shoes.

Damn this was going to be my next shoe specifically because I’ve read about the width of the toe box and cushion. So much for that.

I’d try it out at least. I thought the gel resolution was going to be too hard and it worked out great.

Try the Hypercourt Supreme. It is a more, stable, more comfortable, better cushioned and more performance designed Hypercourt Express. It will handle a wide foot with a narrow ankle.

My 1st kswiss tennis shoes is the knitshot, I love that but kswiss made aero knit which review is bad and I didn't bother getting one, and they didn't even bother creating a new knitshot and improve the sole durability. Then I'm shopping for new shoes again, saw the hypercourt but with bad reviews and then I saw the supreme and review are good, so I ordered one and will test it out next week once the package arrived. Hopefully kswiss don't mess up or discontinue a good shoes I like

Also a die hard fan of the original Big Shots. Had like 5 pairs - but went through almost all of them, I'm down to my last pair in the red black colorway.

I switched over to Diadora the last time I needed shoes. The KSwiss just did not feel the same and I did not like them at all. I am happy with the Diadora.
Lotto did the same thing, ruined a good shoe variety and made it horrible with a bunch of plastic junk to try and wear out on a court. I loved the Lotto variety I had for a few years.

Let me give you a big 10-4 on that one. I too am wearing Diadora's. I wore them to regionals last year, flipped (back) to K-Swiss, and am now back in the fold.

except in the clay court sole which TW does not carry. When next I order, it will be in the Borg colorway which was out of stock before.

I am new to this message board, but have played tennis for a long time at a decent level - have used all brands and K-Swiss. If you check out the TW site K-Swiss is still making the original Hypercourt Express and when I asked they said this will continue next year as well so kudos to them. I tried the Hypercourt Express 2 and like it as it is still light, comfortable, and my foot is a little wide and it fit and I think the cosmetic is better looking than the original - this may be just me, the only difference is the upper material, even the tongue, shoe laces, insole, midsole, outsole etc. look the same, but if anyone does not like it they can still order the original if they want it. K-Swiss was smart as they knew it is always tough for every player to switch to something new out of the gate instead of just discontinuing the shoe. I also read the TW wear-test and watched the review - seems some are enjoying the shoe.

P.S. I also notice they just launched a men's 2E in the Hypercourt Express 2 on the TW site

How is working for K Swiss, MJ? Good benefits? TW says on the Ultrascendor “back for a limited time” and yeah they’re back if you wear an 11.5 shoe size. I was told by someone in the business that the Hypercourt was no more. He couldn’t reorder them.

I have tried to like the Hypercourt Express but my feet will not let me. They seem to be just okay, make my feet ache after about an hour or more playing in them. I will start using them for everyday wear, just not for longer than 3 or 4 hours at a time. I have orthotics as well. I tried using them with and without the orthotics. Either way my feet just do not use them. Not sure why these do not work for me since I have read so many great things about them. Anyway, back to my Diadora shoes for tennis.
