K-Swiss K-Frame Speed Rublo Clay

New release in pre-launch by K-Swiss. A bit weird as this seems to be a Rublev signature shoes, maybe specific to clay season, while Rublev is already playing with a very recent model, the Hypercourt Pinnacle. Let's see if Rublev plays with these in Paris (still wearing the orange Hypercourts in Hamburg)

What a weird move for how long they had Rublev supposedly co developing the Pinnacle and how long he was in it before it ever came to market. Seems like they’re over crowding their model ranges at the top end of the cost spectrum which isn’t the area that moves units for them.

They look amazing but need a black or matched green sock to get the best visual look. White socks look bad

If it is the non-clay version, can you tell us how much it weighs if you have a scale?
I got the clay version. For hardcourt I bought Barricades and I am also quite happy although there was a break-in period and now they became a little bit roomy... Rublo was perfect from the start, let's see how it will change over time. With GP Turbo and Zoom Zeros especially the foam under the heel was getting flatter and harder.

Checked these out in person today. Interesting shoe. A narrow medium with surprising amount of cushion, especially in the heel for how speed oriented they look. Good heel lockdown even without an eyelet for a runner's knot. Red color spots on the upper are actually raised ridges, not just a color change. Rubberized upper at the bottom of the laceline / slightly below on the medial side definitely needs a break in. It flexes a little awkwardly and stiffly. Laces are a much better length that what they give you on the Pinnacle.

TW must have pre production pics for the hardcourt model. The "K" on the sole is solid black, not the translucent black shown in pics. Still not entirely sure why both these and the Pinnacles needed to exist. Hyper Foam in these feels superior to the Shock Spring and Surgelite in the Pinnacles but these don't have that mid foot rigidity and springy effect from the carbon plate. Seems like they could have just stuffed the CF plate into a Hyper Foam midsole and just had 1 shoe.

These should be lighter than the Pinnacles though right? Similar the Cybersonic and Barricade co-existing at different weights.
Bye Bye to the Pinnacles and the Cybersonics. Apparently they are now discontinued. Too bad, these were two of the Top 5 Shoes on the market in 2025 IMO.

On the Pinnacles, I feel like Kswiss went a bit too far in terms of carbon plate stiffness for a tennis shoe. Felt great for 1hr tennis practices, but on a longer match, I had calf/foot cramps to a level I had never experienced before. Kudos to them for experimenting, though. I also wonder why they never bothered to release a clay sole version. One of the reasons my focus quickly turned to the K-Frame
