K-Swiss Ultrashot 3

These seem to be a bit of a sleeper?

Only initial thoughts for me but these are one of those shoes that 'disappear' the moment you hit the court — fully comfortable and just focussed on moving. A good sign. Very impressed overall, love the look too but will see how they settle in over the next month.

Pretty expensive at RRP but a high quality shoe if you can find them on sale.

Also, these will give your ankles a nip if you wear no-show socks — go with low cut or crew socks.

I keep hearing both opinions: some say that they are narrower than the 2nd generation (Tennis Warehouse, @mtommer , @norcal , @KaiserW )and some say they are wider (foot doctor Zach) than the 2nd gen. So which one is it?

Definitely more narrow. Very tight, was disappointed as I really liked the 2.

Seems like the 3s are a pretty big departure from the 2s all round. I never tried the 2s.
Width on the 3s for me is a solid medium — definitely not wide.

Sorry if my opinion was unclear. I've never tried the 3's. I've only tried the 2s, Supremes and Express 2. The US 2 was the narrowest of those three but they still stretched quite a bit and the E 2 and Supreme even moreso.

I have come full circle about this since it was last discussed back in June:

I'm still in the process of wearing out my Ultrashot 2's, and decided to keep them until I literally wear a hole in the bottom of the sole. I usually don't wait that long, but I tried a bunch of other shoes, and didn't like them as much as my Ultrashot 2's.

Although a different feeling shoe, I have already purchased a pair of Ultrashot 3's, and will transition to those once the Ultrashot 2's are gone. I definitely liked the way they felt walking around the house ; more so than any of the other shoes I tried.

These are nearly perfect shoes. Fit and cushion is perfect for my feet. Love the rubbery feel. They nearly squeezed out all other shoes for the top spot for me. But they did manage to get one thing wrong — and that is lacing. It just shifts. Initially it is perfect, but 20 min into the match I find that it repositions the tensions: at the front, it becomes loose, and on the top, right around the ankle, it becomes too tight. No matter how tight I try to get them, I always end up with loose shoes, sloshing around at the bottom, but overly tight around the ankle. I am very sad they made such a design mistake. Otherwise, would be a perfect shoe.

I’m in need of new shoes coming from a Vapor pro 1 as nike has been very disappointing as of late. Has anyone tried both VP and US3 and can compare them? Is there an Ultrashot 4 on the way? Thanks

I tried the ultrashot 3s but didnt like the forefoot cushioning, they also ran a little short. Preferred the express 2s and supremes.
