K90 > N90?

Is the K90 really an upgrade from the N90?

I currently play with an n90 strung with redcode and I was wondering if I can safely buy a K90 without demoing.

Are there any reasons to just get another N90 instead of a K90? or should I just get a K90?

My N90's grip size is 4 5/8, however there is no "real" grip, I just have 2 overgrips on it. Should I get a grip smaller for the new racquet?

I believe it's stiffer. Check out super slow-mo's of Fed when he used the n90 vs the k90. The n90 seems to "wobble" whenever he stroke the ball, the k90 seems very solid.

As for whether that's good or bad? To each his own.

Get your facts straight. Fed never used the n90.

Honestly, just demo the racket. Where's the harm in that?

After the chance of the ps85 he went to a 90 inch raquet, he use that racket since then... some say that is the k90... i don't know exactly if this fact is true

You can never safely buy a racquet without demo because everybody has different preferences. Some people prefer the n90 over the k90.

Right, I forgot Fed's 'n90' was different from stock one. Nonetheless I still stand by my observations from the slow-mo videos, they do look different, regardless of what Roger's real 'n90' was.
 
when i had tried both racquets i noticed that the n90 had a heavier swingweight compared to the k90.
so if you go from a n90 to a k90 expect the k90 too feel a little bit lighter swingweight wise.
but overall both racquets are good
 
I have both of my K90 and N90 strung with MSV Hex 1.10 at 55 lbs and i can say that the K90 has more power and pop and offer raw feedback. The N90 is somewhat muted and softer but very solid. Which do i prefer? i can play with either one, but i am leaning towards the k90 as it offers a bit more pop.

As for swingweight, to me, it varies. Wilson QC is not that great and i find some N90 swing heavier than K90 and vice versa.
 
You may feel the k90 to be a tad heavier than the n90. But once you started playing , you'll notice the K90 offers more power and softer than N90.
Both are great racquets. I like them both so I got extra copy of each.

K90 and N90 are much better in terms of comfort and playability than K88 for sure!
 
I'm not sure why the comments are so different from my experience or that of my friends as I found the K90 a much easier racquet to use than the N90?

Even the TW reviewers mentioned how demanding the N90 was and how nice the K90 was:

Personally, I've tried both the K90 n N90 n found the K90 a lot easier to use in most if not all areas.

I'm not sure about that as I found both frames able to produce good spin. Only thing I remembered about the N90 was swinging like a caveman to just produce a decent paced ball.


The K90 allowed a more relax motion yet created a very decent shot.

The K90 has very even spacing like the 6.0 and the retail N90 has spacing more like a PSC, which is less even.

Federer's N90 had the wide spacing like the K90 does now.

I'll take your word for it as I don't always get the results I expect from just specs like balance, weight, string spacing/patten.

However, back to the OP's question, I would say you can pretty much get the K90 without demoing as it plays easier n in many ways better.

It's the exact same racquet. It wouldn't look different.

He must have just hit off centre hits in one of the vids to the racquet wasn't as stable.
