I'm sure there are quite few Karolina Muchova appreciation threads , I hope TTW members don't mind another one:
Karolina is fine represent of Czech classic school of tennis.
An aggressive all-court player of exceptional variety. Powerful groundstrokes from both wings, uses both FH&BH to hit winners from any position .
Ability to incorporate soft ,more delicate shots, such as DS, lobs, slice BHs into her game, mixing the pace of the bl rallies, makes her capable to hit winners of these typically defensive shots. She possesses strong first serve & reliable 2.
Can stay in long points, extending rallies until she can create an opportunity to hit a winner. She is a strong net player thanks to her doubles experience, and is one of the strongest volleyers on current WTA tour, frequently approaching the net to finish off points.
I believe , alongside with her game ,calm on court demeanor makes her likable to many tennis aficionados.
On the other side Karolina has two major weaknesses :
1. Injury prone
2. Not that strong mental game , (can lose quite often from winning position, RG F 2023 classic example, being break up in 3th set
I hope she can sort it out those 2 weakness and win many more titles. Her best results at Slams are AO SF, RG F, W QF and USO 3th round
Her only WTA title, imo, doesn't reflect her exeptional game
