what string tension does your KBT have? i'm planning to get one, but don't know what string tension is the best. i like a tight string tension but not too tight.

I like 58 or so in mine. I would keep it under 60, no matter what you do.

I'd say go with a cheap string job mid-range to begin with to get the feel of the thing and then go from there.

FOr instance, the demo I've been using has Prince Syn Gut w Duraflex in it at around 58 lbs.

I can see from there I can go softer and looser - but might get a bit much power though would certainly get more spin.

This is one fun racquet...

I originally strung mine @ 58 in the mains with Natural Gut and 55 in crosses with BB Ace 112. With the summer heat, I needed a little more control, so I changed to 62 lbs. and 58 lbs. respectively. The BB Ace is one poly that seems to maintain softness strung at higher tensions.

You are probably going to need to experiment to find what works best for you. IMO this is a string & tension sensitive racquet.

See the signature. I'm going to have to string tighter next time because the Biphase, even on the crosses, has way too much pop. I do love the feel though.

52 lbs with Wilson NXT. A bit too loose, constantly hitting past the baseline when hitting groundstrokes. Now I'm forced to hit whippy forehands like Nadal to keep it in. Going to try 55lbs next time

I've got a full Big Ace set-up @ 60 pounds. Great control, but lacks power and kills my wrist. I'll move down to 55 or lower next time...

^^^ Whaaaaat! Strained wrist? Oh-oh what created that ? Just the tension? Isn't big ace also a poly? You did full poly at 60, is that yr regular setup?

I think once yr really swinging the KBT it starts to give and get more comfortable, so am wondering what what I'll string at too.

Will just start with PSGD mid-range butr am already thinking some nice soft Bab dtring in there would be excellent./

I've always played with poly at 60 lbs and never had arm/shoulder/wrist problems. Big Ace is amazing but once in a while I got wrist pains. I'm ASSUMING its either the string or the tension thats created the problem since I never had troubles in the past. But who knows, maybe I unconsciously changed my technique.

I really had to feel mine out. I started with 58 with a poly hybrid setup. I kept moving it down and down and found that this racquet is really suited for a mid to low tension. I am stringing at 54 now.

I loved the way my KBT was demoed and I got the same setup depending on how play goes I might change it, but don't mess with a good thing right?

See sig for string setup.
