Also, about Kei's ranking?
If he wins tommorow....Nishikori will hit world number 45 and if reaches the semis it would be 44!
Kei has the potential to win a few slams, maybe more. He schooled Blake in his first final as a young teen. That is the mark of a great champion.
Ok let's not go too far. He'd be a God in Japan if he reaches a slam final.
Was just kidding, no?
I have to disagree with that, he's very talented but he's physically inferior to the top guys in the game and that's a big disadvantage. He might be able to win one slam if everything goes right but multiple??, no way. Unless he grows 3 or 4 inches this year. He might be top ten or top 20 material in the future but not a multiple slam winner. I woluld say he can get a Ferrer's kind of career tops (wich is still awesome)
You'd be surprised there are people who actually believe this.
Was the OP asking a genuine question as to why the number 45 is significant?
I think if his game would become a cross between agassi, and michael chang.
Live Ranking 47...If wins semis he would be 41!
Not exactly. The live rankings have taken Wimbledon points off from last year which skews things, as that won't happen until after the tournament.
Kei needs to win the title to be in next week's Top 45. Of course, if he does well at Wimbledon that will be moot, but for the time being ...
