Kim already the clear favorite to win next years French?

Unless Justine Henin comes back Clijsters will be a big threat for all the slams next year other than possibly Wimbledon. However I think she should already be the clear favorite to win next years French. Kim is a great clay courter, and the current field is devoid of any quality clay courters other than Dinara Safina the headcase and Svetlana Kuznetsova, another headcase. Both women choked so badly they almost allowed Serena Williams, at this point in her career a completely medicore clay courter, to escape with this years French unbelievably. Kim was denied winning multiple Frenchs by Justine and even Capriati (though she should have beaten Capriati in that 2001 final). If Kim builds on her current form she has to be the runaway favorite to win next years French already, in addition to a major contender for the Australian and U.S Open titles.

Lets not get too carried away.. But with the way the WTA top ten is self destructing. Then she may be the next Henin in all honesty.. I think she came back at a good time, and she understands now that if she just holds her own, then the rest will fall.. Its worked until now..

How is this getting carried away? The current womens field is weak everywhere but on clay it is especialy hopeless. That Serena Williams at this stage and how she now is as a clay courter was probably close to winning this years French Open speaks to the all time low the clay court field especialy has sunk too. Who would even stand in her way at the French Open even in her current form, let alone the better form she will probably be in more with tournament play.

Who knows, she is probably winning because she took time off and matured. Give her a few months back on tour with all the head cases, and lets see how she goes from there.. With the way the WTA is at the moment. I wouldn't bet on anyone..

Does anyone even know Kim's long-term plans. I mean, is she committed to full-time tennis for 3 or 4 years?

It's all gravy now, it's fresh, it's new again. But, will the grind catch up with her again?

I guess before looking too far ahead, I should ask if she's planning on playing a full schedule next year?

man, kim is great for the woman's game. Ever since she and henin left the game has really slumped and non deservers like Jankovic, Ivanovic and Safina have really spoiled the #1 ranking. Wish henin would come back.
