Kirschbaum Evolution

Is this string really as good as many people say it is? Hard to believe it's any good at it's low selling price. But then again... it seems that all of Kirschbaum's strings are really cheap these days.

I have played the 1.25 gauge several times in my Blade and it is a solid string and one of the better values out there. For a softer string it is not mushy and has a firm response. Probably due to the factory pre-stretch. I find it to be a string that does everything well, but nothing outstanding. Good all-rounder.

I've kept a reel of it handy for locals and a few high school sluggers along with a few stronger adult players have also dubbed it as a decent all 'rounder.

I've been stringing at home for several years and I don't use poly in my own racquets, but I like to have a couple different options handy for the locals who use me. K-baum's Evolution has been well received and it seems to be slightly more tough than Isospeed Baseline, which I also keep on hand in different gauges - easy to do that when it sells for $40 per reel.

I just about always play syn. gut in my own racquets and Kirschbaum has been my favorite for a long time.

Pretty much this.

Crisp control-oriented soft poly that's easy on the arm, plays softer than the stiffness number in the TW database. Also works well as a cross.
