It's not as powerful as ALU Power, and it is a stiffer string. That being said, it has FAR better tension maintenance and retains playability for a lot longer.
ALU is amazing full bed, but a waste as a cross string. Max Power is the ideal smooth poly cross in my opinion when using gut or other soft synthetic main strings.
Ive used it with Natural and Synthetic Gut mains and it is unreal.
The more I play with low tension ALU full bed the more I like it, even side by side to a natural gut VS/ALU hybrid.
I just don't jive with the ALU as a cross and much prefer Tourna Black Zone or Wilson Revolve as a cross.
Max Power just felt like a stiff piece of wire as a cross but it's a stiff string. I prefer softer strings.
I've learned over time that tension maintenance isn't a means to an end.
Polyester strings, especially if strung at higher tension, can over stretch and lose their playability much faster than losing their playability due to tension loss.
Best bet is to use a string that you enjoy for 6-8h and then restring.
No point finding a holy grail amazing tension maintenance string that you can hit 30 hours with as by that time the poly is already toast. This applies to cross strings in hybrid too.
