Kirschbaum Proline-X - good

This string is playing very consistently for a long long time!! I am not a string breaker and this thing may last for months!

Good touch and feel too. Only con I have is less bite than my second racquet with Hyper-g. But Hyper-g is trampoline like in few weeks, whereas Proline X is still going super strong!

Any other Kirschbaum strings better than this?

I recently compared ProLine X and ProLine Evolution (mains with Gosen syn crosses) in the same racquet at the same tension. X wasn't near as good as the Evolution or the Tourna Black Zone or Solinco Tour Bite that I also tried in the same racquet.

Going to try Hyper G in the same hybrid set up and tension...if it's not better than the Evolution then the Evolution will be my new string of choice. Never thought I'd give up the Tour Bite / Gosen hybrid I've used for years but the touch, feel, and power of the Evolution is that good.

Proline X has a crisp, syngut-like feel that is quite unique. I like it a lot, and have never found that feel in any other poly string.

For me though, Max Power is the gem of the Kirschbaum line. [emoji4]

Max Power and Max Power Rough are good options
why do you guys like max power ? 17g ? seems like good tension maintenance on paper and really stiff (string really lower?)

Around 50, no need to string it particularly low ime. Used it in several Babolats at mid 50s with no issues. YMMV of course. [emoji4]

I was a big fan of Evolution in a full bed. Doesn't seem to get much love around here.

I'm a bigger fan of rough because it is even softer, but I agree, it doesn't play as stiff as the numbers suggest.

Great to hear! Playing with the Hyper G/Gosen Micro hybrid tonight. After I see how it plays compared to my Tour Bite/Gosen and Evo/Gosen hybrids I'm going to try a full Evolution set up. Did you keep the tension the same on the mains and the crosses in your full Evolution set up?

Thanks!

btw: and you're right, doesn't seem to be a lot of love for the Evo around here...but I'm loving the discounted price right now, hopefully that doesn't mean they are closing it out (do wish it came in a 1.20 though)

I kept tension the same, though I stopped messing around with differing tensions a while ago.
