Quick question for the old-school poly users at TW (Chris?). What are the differences between Super Smash Orange and Super Smash Honey? I see that they are made from different materials. A friend strung my racquet with Honey, and I like it except for the amount of string movement. In particular I'm wondering if Orange, because it's a co-poly unlike Honey, snaps back in to place.

Chris hasn't hit them side by side, and we haven't done any lab tests on the Orange (to check the sliding friction).

Some of our other players found the Orange to slide back into position a little more effectively as well. This likely has to do with how the composition affects the friction properties of the surface. Also, you might be responding to differences in stiffness and tension maintenance, both of which can affect the feel and playability in fairly significant ways.

The Orange slides against itself better so you are going to get some additional snap back from that string. I like the traditional poly feel of Honey, but I do notice string movement to worsen the older it gets -- first couple of hits (two hours of play) are not so much of an issue for me.

What about Honey mains with Orange in the crosses!? You'd get the feel of the Honey, but the Orange should allow it to snap back better. Could be a dynamite set up.
