Korda family Australion open sweep now complete

I am going to set aside Petr Korda doping charges temporarily because this is such a happy and unique occasion

Petr Korda won AO 1998. His daughters (Jessica and Nelly) are pro golfers. His son (Sebastian) is playing juniors tennis.

Jessica won LPGA Australian Open in 2012.
Sebastian won Australian Open Juniors in 2018.

And today, Nelly won LPGA Australian Open 2019.

For me, this is one of the happiest sports news (as it spans generations, genders and multiple sports) of recent times.

Nothing mitigates the injustice of this man calling himself a major winner. This can only be an embarrassment to tennis.
 
In tennis they can't really give the AO title to the runner up as the doper has knocked 6 other players out of the tournament, I've never understood why they don't give it to the 2nd place getter in things like the tour De France though. Petr was a great player don't get me wrong, but his win will forever be tarnished. Great effort from the rest of the Korda family though!
 
Atp trainer gave him the ped, he was ruining nike's sampras/agassi love fest

Great achievement, but I find it strange it makes you personally happy unless you’re a family friend or Czech, I guess.

I see three kids who are genetically gifted and financially fortunate getting another leg up in the world.

or a big pharma chemical engineer in the family perfected a neuron enhancement drug? Federers father was
a chemical engineer and mother a hockey beast so there is a possibility of favored cocktails as family recipes for their success.
Jessica Korda is quite a nasty character on the turf but so are many of these Golf prima donnas.
Golf and Tennis used to be classy sports that represented finesse in humanity, how times have changed.

If Fed was a doper, I hope the ATP distributes that recipe to more players for at the moment there is only
shapo to follow his style of blast and creative touch tennis, the rest are marathon pushers.
 
I am happy for Korda and his family. I admit I barely remember what exactly happened; will read up on it now.

It's funny, however, how everyone assumes all Slam winners after him have been crystal-clean. Yeah, right...
