Yesterday, I emailed a picture to Newcombe's Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas, and to Vic Braden's Tennis College, and to Van Der Meer's tennis center in Hilton Head, Island.

I asked them to have a tennis instructor look at the picture in the email and tell me the correct name of the grip shown in the picture.

Now these emails went to the contact address shown on their websites, because I don't know anyone at any of these places. That meant the emails went to an info/sales/reservations person and not a tennis instructor. While its their job to answer questions about booking stays and clinic participation, its not their job to answer technical tennis instruction questions. I wouldn't have been surprised if I never got a response from any of them. After all I was asking them to go out of their way and above and beyond their job description to try and get an answer to a question for a person who is not booking a stay and has never booked a stay at their facilities.

Newcombes Tennis Ranch responded with answer within 8 business hours or less. I think this speaks volumes about their commitment to customer service!!!!!!! Newcombes has taken a huge leap in my mind. If their reservations and sales people will go out of their way to help someone who is not a customer answer a question, then I can only imagine how customer friendly all their staff must be.

Newcombes. Highly recommended.

P.S., If you want to see the answer that I received from Newcombes, to BungledBills great consternation, it is posted at the end of the Grip Variations thread. Sorry BB, but you specifically asked for it in the message to which I responded!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
