Kyrgios attitude is pathetic!

Nick has charisma. Novak, not so much.

Nick is going to make a lot of money on endorsements if he keeps up his game. I'm a huge Fed fan, but people need a break from Roger's good manners.

He's a breath of fresh air.

He's not the worst, but he definitely needs to take more control of his emotions.

For me, the constant whinging after losing every point was the most annoying thing.

Gonna be interesting vs Murray, there'll be a lot of whining in that one

One thing I admire about Nadal is that he never, ever does this stuff.
He is accused of gamesmanship, but he never breaks racquets, never swears, and never whinges.
He is a very collected person mentally, definitely helps him against Fedovic.

I think it would help Nick a lot too.

The last thing he wants is to turn out similar to Tomic in the sense that he's not well received by his own country.

Negative publicity will only add to the pressure to perform.

This needs to be a learning experience for him and hopefully his brain isn't the size of a pea like Tomic's.

He does swear in Spanish, but only at himself as most players do. But yes, he never engages with the crowd, breaks rackets etc. keeps his emotions in check for the most part. Pretty admirable.

Yes, Nadal's problem is that he's too cool with all his misuse of rules to switch momentum when he's losing.

I think it would help Kyrgios win more too, absolutely.
He plays the big points well, but keeping his cool would help him hold his service games better (he had a bit of trouble with that last night).

It can't do any harm, and he doesn't want to end up like Tomic, yeah.

What does he really do apart from the time thing (which is the umpire's fault anyway)?

I think Murray will deliver a straight sets beat down.

Honestly the Seppi match could have, and should have, been closed down in the 3rd set. Kyrgios was lost mentally, was way out of the match, all Seppi had to do was hold serve until the pressure ratcheted up in the 3rd, Kyrgios was self destructing. Then he gave away an easy break and Kyrgios got all fired up and ran with it.

Murray won't give him the opportunity to get back in psychologically.

Murray to take tight first set, then easier second and then an easy 3rd that will still have serve-holds till about 4-5.

My prediction: 7-6 6-3 6-4

What sort of charisma did he has? Of being an arrogant spoiled kid whom doesnt know his place and how to behave?

Even if Djokovic sometimes try to hard with the dancing and singing he is a far more loveble character than the present version of Kirgios.

A bit of an exaggeration, no? I agree though. His attitude right now is terrible. Fun to watch though (both game and player). I think (or at least hope) it will get better with age and experience...

No im being 100% serious. If he keeps up this attitude and wins a slam tennis is done for me. If he does change then I wont mind him.

Yep sounds about right to me. Murray shouldn't have any real problems with him.

Tennis needs more talented polarising players, fans need players to love and hate. The umpires and officials are there to keep it in check. Its all good.

Djokovic isn't exactly a saint on the tennis court and yet, here we are!:lol:

For how long would you say you would stop watching for?

Like a good politician, you always change the topic when you're on a losing argument.

 do keep up. I'm not arguing with anybody. I'm saying something about you because I feel like it. You can feel however you want to feel about Nadal. I will continue to let you know how pathetic it is for you to be an adult man with such an odd fixation.

“Get off your f***ing phone, mate,”

Pretty sure he said that to someone in his camp, not too sure though. Not good.

“Are you right, mate?” he yelled at another, who screamed out during Kyrgios’ service motion.

Fair call, that's a bad thing to do whatever the occasion.

When one pair attempted to leave the stadium during a game, causing a brief stoppage in play, the young Aussie also got involved.
“Where are you going? he said, drawing a laugh.

This one seemed like a joke, and I don't mind it too much.

The swearing is overblown; it doesn't hurt anyone and it's very tame. The racquet smashing does need to stop, it's not an encouraging move at all.

The guy is young he's 19. Cut him some slack, he's barely an adult. His behavior wasn't good but I'm sure he'll come down to earth at some point. Possibly when Murray gives him a beatdown...

I didn't see the alleged incidents and I can imagine him being the kind of cocky A-hole I would have hated in uni or school.

But I like to think he'll mature...sue me

I'm not really sure what he's done though as I switched to Murray vs Dimi, enlighten me.

What I don't get is the arrogance; I can see the poor behaviour on court, but he's been nothing but respectful and courteous to the opposing player in all his interviews. Where does the arrogance come from?

I'm still waiting for Kyrgios to take his anger out on top players, like Djokovic did with Roddick and Federer.
Fwiw, Roddick at the US Open insinuated that Djokovic was milking an injury, and as for Federer, Fed did tell Djokovic's parents to "shut up!" so there was some history behind those feuds.

Kyrgios seems like a major tool in every way. The kind of guy who needs to be knocked down a peg. His best case career scenario: Marat Safin. Most likely: Gilles Muller

All of the guys have huge egos, they are all great tennis players.

It's not limited to the guys either. Genie Bouchard has a huge sense of self and doesn't mind sharing that.

I actually hear more ego from Rafa in the past 2 years than ever before. You hear it from Fed normally. It's just that one doesn't normally expect to hear it from other players as much, but sometimes we do.

Gulbis lets his ego out, and Apparantly so does Krygious.

Hopefully he grows with age. Because now he is a disrespectful twat. Disrespects his own crowd even when they are cheering for him.

Swearing at the crowd, yelling at innocent ball kids for his towel. All of the pathetic things is did last night are in this article in case you didn't watch it.

He is just in general way too full of himself. How many times he threw his racquets is ridiculous throughout the match. Mark my words the day this kid wins a grand slam is the same day I stop watching tennis. He is an embarrassment to the sport at the moment

Enjoy your last couple years at most of watching tennis, C-Ya!

Yeah there wasn't anything that bad about his behavior...

Kyrgios is a psycho, and most psychos hurt themselves more than others.
So I hope Kyrgios doesn't change a bit.
Keep it coming, or at least make the semis, so Nadal can ca$h-in :D

Why change the attitude when it appears to be working for you so far! I was a Safin fan once guess that's who Nick reminds me of don't have a problem with someone that plays to win already achieved a lot in 2 yrs just wait till he plays a heap more slams ....

i think NK's attitude is analogous to how Roddick was on court; which i hated alot of the time. but with NK, i don't find it as bad.

NK's is more about swagger, while Roddick's came acroos more like bullying frat to me...

There's classy swagger (cocky guy in a suit) and there's simply being poorly attired with a stupid haircut and an earring - known around here in the UK as chav or perhaps "trash" in the US.

His attitude should improve with age.

Right now he clearly has trouble dealing with pressure and emotion.

Yeah I agree. Take Nadal for example. When he was a teen he used to pick his butt every single point. Twice per point usually due to first and second serve. Also he would keep aligning water bottles and do other dumb stuff. Look at this great mature champion now. Oh wait, never mind....

oh man, I'm LOLing bigtime!

i don't recall the middle sequence...

anyway, thats called passion (except the last one).
The second is the classic duck move after Dimi failed to put Rafa away in the 2nd set last year at the AO (he had, among others, a sitter forehand that he missed either on set point in a previous game or to go up a minibreak or two in the TB, not quite sure).

I support Kyrgios for his talent and attitude of champion. Tennis needs this kind of youngsters. Kyrgios is what I was searching for years, so I really don't care about his behavior but still I don't support his on court behavior. He deserves criticism for that but I hope he matures as time goes.
