Here here!Ban the towel!
I think kyriagos though alluding to something more sinister possibly. The guy does seem to have That Williams sister chip on the shoulder about him. I agree that the top players get a free ride but I do wonder sometimes what kyriagos motives are with some of his commentsKyrgios is right here. The top players get a free pass while the fringe players are taken to task for much lower offense.
Kyrgios is not the first one to talk about this partiality. Tursunov said as much
Who hasnt?
I think what matter is learning from your mistakes and change. I think he has, Kyr hasnt.
You know that Zverev is learning from his mistakes and Kyrgios isn't? How exactly?
They are both young. All that matters for them is that they don't squander their talent and they go on and win some big titles, otherwise they will both look like fools with their on court antics.
Kyr messed with a fellow player in a very bad way and if I remember correctly was put on probation. Then shortly after that was fined in Shanghai. He has repeatedly been warned by umpires for obscenity. And now he yells at the ballboy. You call that learning?
Zeverev cursed umpire one time, something most everyone has done. And he was 18. Kyr is 21 and still not as mature as Raonic was at 17.
You like him? Fine. Just dont try to make excuses for him.
He is a a-hole in my book.
I am not saying that Kyrgios' on court behavior is acceptable. He has some issues for sure but Zverev seems to have a hot temper as well from what I've seen.
I am not excusing Kyrgios' attitude but at the same time, I find his tennis explosive and interesting to watch, much more so than the other young players so we'll see what happens and whether or not Kyrgios can reach his full potential or whether he will blow it.
He has a natural flair for being in the news for wrong reasonsagain ?...
Having a hot temper (at times.....Zverev) and being a complete Douc*ebag (all the time......Kyrgios) are just sooooo different. No amount of "tennis explosiveness" can cover up the filth that Kyrgios is show casing on......every time , imo
Guess you missed when Zverev called an umpire a ****ing moron
it will be even more interesting when those 2 (at last !!!) play each otherNovak responds to Kyrgios comments
"Well, I saw that. I saw that particular situation that happened in his match," Djokovic said.
"What can I say? It's his choice that he wants to bring it out there. I don't know what he has done.
"I don't know the nature of his gestures on the court and why he got a code violation, whether or not it was only for the towel or maybe something before that happened.
"I'm not getting into it. It's completely his choice.
"So, you know, by mentioning my name, I don't think it was necessary, but again, I've got to respect his choice."

In my opinion Novak tried to be politically correct and did not give a fitting reply to his diatribe, which i reckon he is reserving it for when they meet on court in a real match. It will be more prudent of Krygios to compare himself to Nole in terms of his tennis achievements or tennis skills rather than compare his confrontations/skirmishes with umpires and referees.
Andy acted like a dork and regarding his comments maybe he intended as a jab but soon after events took a nasty turn. Novak was not mature enough to handle such direct attack, hence took it seriously and wanted to settle things on court, tennis wise of course unless Roddick wanted to take things in his hand literally . Plus maybe Roddick thought of Novak as a player of his similar stature, slam wise since Novak had one only 1 slam then, hence went out in full throttle. But things cooled down for good between them as time passed by.it will be even more interesting when those 2 (at last !!!) play each other
novak didn't appear to care about kyrgios' comments here... but who knows......
it reminds me of novak's attitude when he played roddick in the QF of the 2007 USO... after the "SRAS incident"
he really wanted to spank roddick when he entered the court... and this match ended up being a tight and thrilling 4-setters !
but it was a long time ago... now novak probaby has more experience and wisdom
Smart move from Djokovic , he shouldn't allow himself to be a part of another media spin about him right in time of RG . Champ knows how to deal with it.Novak responds to Kyrgios comments

There was plenty coverage of Ferrer's AO shove guys, and he was threatened with a fine (don't think he got one though).
