If Kyrgios plays a smart match he can win. He troubled Medvedev at the Australian Open when bringing him forward and is in better form now.

Medvedev in straight sets. Lmao I can't believe people are backing Kyrgios over the guy who hasn't lost before the SF at Cincinnati, Canada Open or US Open since 2018. Won one of each since then and played and played multiple finals and SFs.

Meddy shoukd win if he finds his game and groove. Still he’s not played much and playing an in form krygios, in best of 3, early in tournament is a dangerous match for sure. I see it being very close to be fair.
Post-Wimbledon Medvedev lost to Kyrgios in D.C. in 2019.
Anyway, assuming this match actually happens, it'll probably come down to tiebreakers and/or maybe a service break or two.

Not really. He had no answers for Krygios who had decided to play a S&V match.
medvedev is a sitting duck for a serve volley player. If he gets Cressy r1 at Us Open thats 2000 points gone guaranteed.
Cressy will probably be seeded, so they wouldn't meet until the third round at the earliest. Also, Medvedev beat Cressy at the Australian Open earlier this year (albeit in a tough four setter).
