Without that win over Rafa at Wimbledon in 2014, when he played with nothing to lose, Krygios would just be another tennis player. He is still feeding off the hype. He has had greatness bestowed upon him even though at 23, he's yet to break into the top 10 and has only briefly been in the top 15 with just 4 small titles.

It's what I've been saying all along: he will never have the return game to be a dominant player. He is a talented server with nice hands. He doesn't do anything else at a top 20 level, although his service game is more than enough to catapult him to the top 10 if he became a more committed player. Top 5 though? Unlikely, unless there is a 2016/17 surge in injuries among the top guys.
