Kyrgios to Murray : Dude, you’re so much better than Djokovic, you should have a way better career

If I am not mistaken, it was Stan who complained about Nadal.

Nick did comment when Djokovic got away with a warning when he hurled a ball that hurt a spectator at Djoha

Nick Kyrgios has again questioned the ATP Tour's consistency after Novak Djokovic apparently escaped with a fine after hitting a spectator with a tennis ball.

"I would've been defaulted and suspended until 2025," suggested a tongue-in-cheek Kyrgios on Twitter.

No he criticized Nadal as well.

This is not even the one I wanted to find because he said something more derogatory about Nadal in regards to time. I remember his comments about Djokovic you are talking about and that's not only time he's said something.

Trashes Murray first for underachieving, trashes Djokovic for not being as good as Murray, and then trashes Federer and Nadal for being Djokovic's equals, the same guy who isn't as good as Murray.

He's got a skill for it.

:-D

The guy has a inferiority complex when he plays Murray. He has an overwhelming amount of respect for Andy and sees him as a great friend and brother figure (as he said in that interview). It shows in their matches... Probably wasn't being all too serious tbh though, he's always talking crap to get a rile from the people.

This won't go over well with him. I hope he shreds this dude. In fact, he better make it his duty to do it after this comment.
i suggest you not put so much into this revenge fantasy of yours.
a healthy NK is a Djokovic nightmare.
Djokovic hates facing a big server, especially one who is a decent mover.
takes his rhythm away.

In any case since I can understand why nole fans are made but I dont think nick was being serious genuinely thinking that 11 slams isnt significant but w/e

In fairness it's partly a match up thing; Murrays game is/was built for taking apart servebots. So it's reasonable that NIck finds Andy a tougher opponent.

Kinda pointless getting upset by what Nick says, does anyone actually take Nick seriously?

True in regards to Andy because he matches up well against serve bots.

It's blatant disrespect my man. When you look at what Djokovic did in tennis, some things that haven't been done in decades or ever, and then you basically say he isn't worth all he achieved, it's disrespectful.

Revenge fantasy? :giggle: This guy is losing to every low blow Joe these days, and is not even Chardy's worst nightmare. Yea I can't wait to see Djokovic squash him. And no, he isn't a great mover.

hmmm see I dont think he was being serious in any of this. Yes it would have been best to only focus on Murray but knowing nick I'm pretty sure he doesnt look down on what nole has accomplished. I mean in the same breath he talks about not fearing fedal in the same way Murray.

I dont think he was being serious though. It looks really bad ofc but nick is often facetious and sarcastic and I dont thimk he genuinely is ****ting on novaks ahcidvements.i mean you can feel however you want about nick, personally I dont care for him or the media's constant will he wont he crap

It doesn't matter if he was serious or not, that is a disrespectful comment about one of the games greatest ever players. There was absolutely no need to bring Djokovic into this.

Now if he had said the same about Federer or Nadal, you can bet many Fedal fans wouldn't take too kindly to it either.

he's losing because he's not healthy/fit ATM.

and he is a decent mover, especially for his height.

he certainly has something, seeing he's beaten Djokovic every time they've met!

I guess...but and he did it two at a time.
But seriously, I don't think there's that much here to be upset about.

There are much better ways to pay tribute than drag other people's names down. It wasn't a nice comment.

He has a habit of being a tool and there's really only one way to take these comments in my view.

NK, much like his pseudo tennis doppelganger Roddick, can behave like a d1ck.

but, his heart is probably in the right place the vast majority of the time.

He did though. Lol I mean in some ways one can interpret the not fearing fedal versus Murray as insulting as well albeit more subtle.

I will agree that nick was better off not bringing anyone's names but I still stand by him not genuinely trying to **** on novaks achievements. Nick can be very trolly in how he says things by the way I did say I completely understand why nole fanz reacted negatively because I myself when I read the headline was like wtf are you smoking nick but them read the whole thing.

He has horrific footwork for starters and Federer just exposed that badly at the USO on a slow molasses court. He made him look like he had two left feet. His movement is overrated. You get his serve back and get him in a rally side to side, he's basically toast.

Well that was 2 years ago when Djokovic was on his spiral downward. Let's see what he does the next time they play.

Fair enough I mean I was reading it and also saw how he talked about Murray's achievements while playing against 3 of the best players in the world to have ever played so there's that

I know he isn't a truly bad person, because of the work he does for children. He has my full respect for that, and I acknowledge that. I don't agree with a lot of his tennis antics, but that's me.

Every? Just two matches. (Both)

Every time? They've played twice...so both times.

And I stand against him on it. Not changing my view after reading those distasteful words.

I don't strongly disagree, but as I said: a) I consider the source - I don't have the highest standards for Nick; and b) I read it as in the context of good-natured trash talk with Murray, and his comments on the whole were complimentary to Andy.

But yeah, that aspect of the piece was in poor form.

This sounds like the sort of stuff that probably goes around a lot in sports, with the difference being Kyrgios actually revealed what he said with a sort of naive and unaware transparency. Another mark in the book for why you should all be a Nick Kyrgios fan. :sneaky:

Timeless sincerity.

Nick has no private-to-public transformation filter. I can see right through him - he's that transparent.

And I stand against him on it. Not changing my view after reading those distasteful words.
Oy vey what I mean by standing by him was not genuinely thinking he was right but just that I think he was being facetious and you are free to feel how you want.

There is a time and place to trash talk. You don't trash talk to when you go for a job interview. This was a time to be respectful and make dignified comments about Murray's legacy, but Nick likes to say these things, which is why he has landed in hot water on more than one occasion.

2x in a row against an ATG (that's not physical ailing) is a big deal.

happens rarely.
When NK has his head screwed on straight, he can be formidable.
I was mostly commenting on the semantics of saying "every" for a sample size of two.

OK fair enough. Agree to disagree.

Yep it's all good. In any case as I said before It would have been best to just focus on Andy and solely andy. Despite me thinking nick was trolling and not being facetious, if he were stating how he really feels I hope y'all know I wouldn't agree with that just saying

Got you - and we 90-95% agree.

I think I'm the only Kyrgios fan in the world.
I want to be a NK fan. Sincerely. When on (though it's infrequent), he brings an electricity to the court which can be good for the game if he achieves more. But he makes it tough to be a fan.

interesting that Roddick had fans in many instances because of his d1ckish attitude and and fratboy comments, but NK is given little leeway in this regard.

NK hasn't accomplished as much as Roddick, quantitatively at least - qualitatively he's pretty close, but i think the aversion to his antics when others are given a pass is revealing.

Even if we ignore what is a delusional statement to begin with, notice that Kyrgios criticized (or as he said, "gave **** to") another player for not having a way better career. What a cute irony. :giggle:

When kyrgios made that statement to murray about his retirement wishing him well, I didn't know HOW it could be spun into a negative, and there was no immediate negative spin plastering the news, but I've been waiting for it, and it's taken a few days for some angle to be cooked up, but LOL my faith has not been disappointed. At this point If kyrgios helped a kid that'd just been hit by a car, the MSM and the groupthinking guppies it feeds would somehow sell it as child abuse. I don't even like kyrgios, it is just fascinating to watch this sh*t happening.

I always tell Andy Murray, I look at [Novak] Djokovic, I look at how many grand slams he has won and the results he has had and I’m just thinking … I always tell him: ‘Dude, you’re so much better than Djokovic, you should have a way better career.’ I give him **** about it all the time. I’m always telling him that, you’re a tough player to play against. But he definitely had my number on the court.

Yeah but Kyrgios is a brainfarting mug. Who cares what he says.

Yep Kyrgios is a Roddick doppelganger now. I've heard it all.

Ever watched Scud? That's Nick.
