Kyrgios Was to Reveal Bald Head at AO25?

I heard an interesting rumor. As many of you know, Nick Kyrgios has experienced significant hair loss over the last couple of years, and he is now nearly completely bald. He’s been hiding it lately with silly hats on court and ridiculous toupees off the court.

Notoriously known for his vanity, the Aussie was looking to gain an edge this year against his competition by leveraging an up to this point unknown thing for him, humility.

30 years ago Andre Agassi came to the AO on a mission. Many fans were shocked after his first round win when the American removed his bandanna and revealed a balding head during the handshake with his South African opponent Grant Stafford. This endearing act won over the Aussie crowd, and Agassi rode the wave of support to claim the title against his rival Pete Sampras.

Nick Kyrgios, always looking for the gamesmanship edge, was looking to do the same thing in a 30th Anniversary “tribute” to Agassi. He was hoping to receive a similar reception not only with the Aussie home crowd but also across social media. The attention seeker would have been the talk of the town. Unfortunately, Kyrgios lost in the first round to Jacob Fearnley of Great Britain. Instead of removing his hat, he sheepishly shook hands and slowly walked over to pack his bags.

I think this would have been a great idea. It’s never too late. Maybe he should go hatless at Wimbledon. What do you all think?

Where did you hear this rumor? I wouldn't doubt it. However, I'm unsure why he hasn't done a Dimitrov/Rafa and used the time off the tour to get the hair done.

Someone supposedly overheard a conversation between him and his manager/best friend, Daniel Horsfall.

Regarding the comment about getting it fixed, yes I share your thoughts. But, someone snapped a shot from his match against GMP where he briefly lifted his hat to wipe some sweat and you could see the top of his head was very bald.

I saw that. It was very thin. Not surprising as he's been receding for quite some time.

Federer leaps to Nick Kyrgios' defence after Rafael Nadal criticism

Australian star Nick Kyrgios has received an unlikely ally in Roger Federer after his polarising underhanded serve in his win over Rafael Nadal in the Mexican Open.

Kyrgios caused a stir after his underhanded attempt in the thrilling three-setter, with Nadal accusing him of lacking respect, but Federer suggested it was a viable tactic against the Spaniard who was standing well behind the baseline.

Yeah underarm is definitely a tactic I believe," Federer said when asked about Kyrgios' audacious play.

Especially when guys are hugging the fence in the back. From that standpoint (players) shouldn’t be ashamed to try it out.

“You just look silly if you miss it sometimes. But why not try it?

“The problem is in practice, you never really try it. When you come out in the big stage in front of a full crowd, [it is] tricky to pull off.”

The underarm serve, while being rare, is not illegal and have been used as a tactic throughout the history of the game, with the surprise effect of the serve often catching opponents off guard.

He didnt lose as much as Agassi back then...

Edit: and he kind of revealed it.

Yes, this is the picture I was referring to. Since he started wearing that kind of hat he’s been very careful not to remove it while on court. Hats off to him (no pun intended) for being able to manage that and keep his head in the game at the same time. I would be so distracted by it. Like Agassi’s stories in his book about the wig and then the tight baseball cap.

Kyrgios needs to embrace it like Agassi. No shame in being bald.

And he always had short hair anyway. He would look fine with the baldy buzz, and it helps to have darker skin to camouflage where exactly the thinning is

Agassi had a lot further to fall, poor guy

I do believe a lot of his identity is with his hair just like Agassi. But, instead of the long mane it was the mohawk and hair coloring. His excessive use of hair dye probably accelerated his condition.

I don't think he needed to color it yet

What we see as dye was touchup for his hairline.

The worst part of it for me was seeing how much weight he'd gained. Like he's been out of the game for two years to train and he just looked old. Was very sad, as the last time we saw him he was very much a young man and a lot has changed since then. His mentality is the only thing that hasn't aged properly

Oh my god who cares? Stop trying to draw attention to your threads by mentioning that admitted abusive, untalented, unsuccessful nobody. This is not tennis news, especially when the guy does not play tennis and the rare occasions he still does, get spanked and deleted. Enough already. Kyrgios is a NOBODY. Please, I'm begging you. Let him go already and focus on the actually talented players we have at the top of the game.

You guys act as if he has only a few weeks left to live. Its just hair and life is easier after you lose it. Its just evolution.

Hats off to him for keeping his head in the game? It's 2 and a half years since he won a tour level match...

Ha ha. He made his Wimbledon run wearing the silly hat. It would start off as a white hat at the beginning of the match, but would turn green as his black hair dye would leech onto it as he started to sweat. It was an incredible display of discipline. Good thing he didn’t have to play a semifinal against Nadal. He probably would’ve had to put in an extra effort at some point causing the facade to slip.

if its alopecia it shouldn’t be joked about. jada pinkett has it & says its crippling
Technically, male pattern baldness is a form of alopecia. Billions of men just deal with it, but I’ll trust whatever celebrities say I guess. This is not the same condition as his brother.
