Label software.

Earlier I had made some label software, that some tried, with I"m sure mixed results. I had since refined it and has worked great for my business.

However I thought I'd put out for anyone that's interested a very very light version that just prints labels.. no keeping track of clients or client racquets.
Though I have that and may eventually put that forth.

This is a very easy program if you have Microsoft access, just load and it will come up, You will see a security message come up but, just say ok.

hopefully that will work.

The program has a setup where you insert the Stringer name that you want to be displayed as well as your phone number. Once thats done,

you have two options, 1: Create 2 labels, 1 where you enter the players name and the players phone number. This is a personal gesture to give the player a name tag and number, seems they actually like it.
2: the stringing information, There's two lines, each has about a 25 character limit, so if it's 2 piece stringing, you would input something like this: M,ProHarricane17@52 on the first line, 2nd line would be X, Gamma LWXP17@57, something like that.
Enter the stringing date, though, the default date will refer to the entry date.
On the tag it will state when strung and a restring date of 90 days..

YOu have the option of printing both labels, or just the stringing label.
Thats it.

You will need MS Access, a brother P-touch 2430 label printer, this is configured to the 1/2 inch size.
THis is hopefully the picture of the labels itself.

Not sure if inserting this image is working.
Not sure if I can insert a file.

I'll try to submit and see what happens here.

guess the pics did work, but I'm not sure how to upload a file, you may have to PM me and I'll send it to you.

Two questions come to mind when seeing this (I like the idea though):

1. Can the labels be smaller yet readable?
2. When you pull off the sticker, does it come off cleanly?

I don't think any of my clients would like to have a label on the outside of the throat, that that's a simple fix.

the label is 1/2 inch soo you can make the text on the Stringing Display, the white area where there is only two lines smaller.

After experimentation it looked better and read better without trying to compress or make the text smaller.

You can put the label anywhere you want. I started putting them on the outside of the throat cause I didn't like to cover up the specs that were on the inside. Since I do every racquet one way.. Label up, I just started to apply them there and it has never been an issue. The labels are slick and thin enough, that you can't feel it as a player, and it's a lot easier to read. So I've strung about 8 racquets a day for the past year doing it that way, without one complaint. There are those, who don't want any label on..but I've only had one actually.

LOL, believe me, it took me a bit to get the nerve to try it on the outside at first, now its the place.
Cause the other thing, I personalize the racquets with their name and number and afix it to the inside of the throat and figure it to be a more permanent label. The detailed string job label on the outside is temp and removed after a new string job.

The label itself comes off easily without leaving any residue behind and it comes off in one piece.

Just a note if you are having trouble getting old paper labels off, trying heating them a little with a hair blower, warm it up and it peels right off.
