Lack of an extended length, feel and comfort oriented racquet in the market.

Isn't that really disappointing? Phantom 100G LB seems to be the only one. All others options are tweeners.

You could extend certain frames yourself. Extended a few radicals, an extreme tour and 360+ Prestige to 28in. But early on it’s trial and error while figuring out how much material to add to make it secure at the buttcap without adding too much weight

Pro kennex 7g might be a tweener but by accounts it is excellent for comfort. Longbodies.com might also be worth a look if you are in Europe.

Yeah, 7G plays really soft to me. While 27.5 and not 28, it definitely plays softer than the published specs, IMO. Too flexy for me, but a nice racket.

All of the Angell XL options would be a good fit.

Also potentially the Dunlop CX200+, but that might need some extra weight.

Longer rackets get power and spin because you can get more leverage on the ball. The ball also has more leverage on your arm. Longbodies were harder on your arm. Stiffer rackets were harder on your arm. Poly strings were harder on your arm. If you want to keep a buying audience, you have to quit injuring them. Something had to go. Now, most rackets standard length, many getting softer, and poly strings getting softer. Tennis manufacturers just wising up.

Lack of stick shifts in the automotive world. Damn the manufacturers that want to maximize their profit in the consumer market! ;)

Well, no, the stick is nearly over because almost nobody wants it. Even Porsche 911s are sold 93 percent with automatic and Ferrari only sells automatic in street cars. Automatics are so much better than they used to be (up to 10 speeds, dual clutch in some, smarter shift logic, more fuel efficient than stick now) that stick has little practical purpose any longer.

I would not drive any of the Automatics....as long as there are a few options left. And just got me the M2C with 6MT, a month before production ended. BMW continues with the 6MT in their M models as enthusiasts continue to demand those.

Similarly, the (majority of) tennis world is not asking for extended rackets or old school super soft, small head precision tools. Therefore, in consumer markets you try to eliminate those that drag your overall profitability down. You do, however, keep some of it going if you can cost down (next gen M2 will be produced in MX for example...)

Unfortunately, to do that I would need a lighter version of those racquets because I don't want to drive the swingweight into the high 340s and beyond. Also, I would need pallets which are hard to find, as well as an experienced technician (a rarity), since I don't want to take a risk.

The only reason I want a longer racquet is because they are supposed to increase serve percentage. (Is it really true or just a myth?) I don't think an extended (by half an inch) version of a comfortable racquet with a manageable swingweight (<333) would destroy my arm.
All of the Angell XL options would be a good fit.
I know about them, unfortunately right now it's not feasible to get them. But I'll grab one as soon as I can. If only they were more widely distributed...
Pro Kennex Q+5X is the GOAT XL frame. Literally everything you listed in the title.

ProKennexes aren't sold here. Besides I am a little neurotic about head size... want something between 95 and 98 sq. in., 20-22 mm beam... Some day, I'll try those. But anyway, thanks for replying. :)

Sir, this is a tennis forum.

Out of production. The last remaining new ones will get sold out right in front of my eyes before I would be able to buy.

@Novichok you ignored part of my comment re: longbodies.com maybe they deliver outside of Europe also you should check.

Other option is to buy XL prostocks from ****. The fewer options are acceptable the more you have the more you have to spend basically. If the Angell options aren't feasible due to cost then you should probably go second hand. But Angell will deliver anywhere won't they? How can you complain about their distribution?..

I'm not complaining about Angell or longbodies.com. I just can't order from outside the country. And the market for used racquets here is as good as dead. It's a long story...
Only extended racquets sold here are PD+, PA+, Blade 104 and a few granny sticks. If some xl players' racquets made it into the mainstream... it would be a lot easier for me.

Well the Yonex ones are more controlly/feely than those. What about them?

Otherwise, yes you probably need to use xtp butt cap/ or balsa-epoxy method and DIY or find someone handy to do that for you. Most markets have options that evidently aren't available to you, but if they were doing big business off it presumably there'd be more XL length on the main channels as there was in the past.

No longer in the M5, only the 2 and 3 (and virtually identical 4), never in the M model SAVs
True. m5 was cut off a long time ago. And SUVs of course never really had it (for US market).

My point is that consumer market dictates the route of highest possible profits and if only small % wants extended rackets (or MT), they will move away.

(In case of an M car - you’re paying the “M tax” on the badge and that gives them room for more profit. Additionally, the demand is still fairly decent (over 15%) on M2 and M3/4 models)

Ok so when you said “the market” you were about your own which is substantially limited then.

I dont think anybody realized that from the OP.

That was going to be my recommendation as well. What an amazing XL racquet, and the fact that it's one of the most arm-friendly racquets out there is just a bonus.

How does this compare to the 7g? I searched the 7g before and if I remember correctly, you were highly complimentary of the 7g in an old thread.
Which is more flexible?

It is the yellow one sold on tennis ex?
Doesn't seem to be listed on Tennis Warehouse and also not in racquet finder.

Do you have any place with review on these new 5x Pro Kennex frame? Pro Kennex doesn't do itself any favor that giving it it one character name like "Ki" "Q+" "5x" ...makes it that much more to search for info on them
