After wearing out my highlighter green/yellow pair, decided on the red/blue this time.

No break-in required and I sized up 0.5 just like the last pair, the performance is exactly how I remembered it the first time around.
  • Traction is on point, lots of bite
  • You have great court feel underneath the areas where your big toes are and that's by design
  • There's enough foam and cushion in the overall shoe that these are stable and comfortable
  • Heel lock down is secure, never slips
Only nit-pick is that I like a plush tongue seen in Rafa's PEs and Vapor 9, 9.5s, wish they padded up the tongue by just even 0.25 inches.

Tongue does its job but I think the Gel Res 9 tongue is more comfortable since I like to cinch my laces tight.

Now, that I've had a gap in between my 1st pair and that honey moon phase is over, this is easily in my top 3 rotation (and maybe top 5 of all time)

Other favorites: Vapor 9/9.5, Asic Gel Res 8/9, Asic FF2/3

Yea i was going to buy this and try it out but the Yonex made the new eclipsion 5 lighter, similar or lighter than this shoes, so i really don't have reason to try this one has better cushioning or feel even faster ?? but i kind of doubt it.

How do the Lacoste’s compare to the Gel Res as far as stability is concerned? And which shoe feels faster to you?

Stability is just as good as the Gel res but the court feel which I correlate with speed is why I prefer the LTs.

It's got better court feel because your foot sits lower but the comfort and cushioning is not as bare bones as Vapor 9/9.5 so it slots right in between the two IMO

I also prefer the traction and herringbone on the LTs compared to the Gel Res line up especially if you play on dustier courts; however, the sole of the Gel Res 8/9 lasts longer for sure.

Lighter by 0.2oz, court feel/stability > LT

Durability/all rounder > Gel Res

I reviewed my yellow pair back in August 06, 2023 so I've had a good amount of time to test and reflect

+1. I also find that gel res slide a little more easily if that's you're thing. I prefer more of a tacky sensation, not that you can't slide in the ultras, just more grip and go when you need them to. I'd give the gel res an 8/10 and the lts a 9/10. It'd be a perfect ten if only that outsole didn't burn through so quickly. Pushed mine to 5 months and they're toast, getting a little floppy and bottomed out.

Yeah exactly my thoughts too.

If this had 6 months sole guarantee or had a more durable out sole, I would easily stock up 5 - 10 pairs.

I personally also love the squeaks from this particular shoe, it feels like I'm on an indoor basketball court. It's that type of sensation for traction.

Surely this can't be as good as the Yonex PC 5 ?? now with lighter feeling ,, it seem to be the King of performance shoes that weight between 14-15 oz :)

I'm on my 5th pair already lol. The only issue is the durability (well, that's why I've already gone through 4 of these), otherwise perfect shoes for me. I tried other shoes, hoping to find a replacement, but all failed.

The heel lockdown is so good, I've never had a shoe that feels so secure on my heels.

I don't think about the shoes I wear when I play tennis, I know these are good shoes.

Yes! I’m 11.5 in ASICS, and 11.5 in these was crazy tight and plan to get 12 next time.
If I am wearing the Gel Res 9 is size US 10, should I order 10.5 in the Lacoste?
I stayed true to size because length is true to size. If you watch Dr Zach’s video review he said don’t size up - they may feel snug but loosen up quickly. I just got my normal size and they initially felt snug but after wearing them inside they have settled in and feel fine. I’m keeping this size. In a larger size they will be too long and when they loosen up probably too wide as well. If you have a wide foot these aren’t for you, I have a medium foot.

Thank you for the feedback.

One thing that is interesting is that on Lacoste’s website, a EUR 44 = US 10.5.

On my Brooks running shoes and ASICS Gel Res 9, inside the tongue, EUR 44 = US 10.

I guess I’ll just have to see how they fit when they arrive. I went with a 10.5. I’m a girthy medium, and wear the thin thorlos, so that aspect should work.

I’m looking forward to trying these. A shoe with comparable stability to the Gel Res 9 but that feel quicker is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

I think sizing 0.5 was the right move! Let us know your thoughts after you've had some time with em.

I wear either Thorlos (the thicker version) or Nike Court Multiplier Max socks (thinner than Thorlos).

All work well. The Thorlos with the LT being the more snug combo which I prefer still leaves ample room to double knot my laces.

If you have a wider foot that is the right move - if your foot was more of a medium I would have recommended that you stay true to size. The length of the shoe is a 9.5. I measured it next to my Diadora Flys and some Adidas running shoes and they were the same. As I mentioned earlier, the shoe felt snug initially, but the second time I put it on to wear around the house (with the tags on :) they felt comfortable and I forgot I had them on - form fitting but the material on the top is very light and gives, which keeps your foot nice and cool. Should be a great shoe in hot weather. I am trying these because they have the same cushioning as the Adidas Solecourt Boosts, which they discontinued unfortunately.

I have very narrow and high arches type of foot so YMMV

Even the rep who handed me the initial pair on site was saying he recs sizing up to a lot of folks.

The 8.5 TTS was painful for me.

Not sure what to make of sizing on the ultra. I don’t have the opportunity to try them on. I wear a 9.5us in the on Roger pro as well as the vapor 9.5. This fit absolutely perfect without much room. Should I get a 9.5 or 10? Any help would be great!

As an avid Vapor 9/9.5 collector, size 0.5 up from your vapor size so 10 is what I would rec.

I wear 8.5 in all Vapors, 9 in LTs.

I ordered a size 10 & 10.5. The 10s are the keeper which is my true size. I could have played in either but I liked the snugness of the 10s better. I also play in the thin Thorlos, so that might have something to do with it.

I haven’t played in them yet but my initial impressions are extremely comfortable, they feel like they will be quick and the lock down is the best of any tennis shoe I’ve ever tried.

I wear size 11 pretty much all shoes (Mizuno WET, Diadora B.Icon, Vapor 9.5, GR9, FF3, and so on). I did get the AG-LT23 Ultras size 11.5 and i am soooooo glad I did. Even with that, initially they felt tight, but after about 30 min loosened up and the fit is perfect. Vapor 9.5 perfect fit.

The shoes are amazing and such an improvement over the 21 version that I also liked. The insoles/cushioning is excellent, they do not feel heavy and they are fast. The stability is excellent. Ventilation seems to be good (although I play inside only, in an air conditioned environment). The grip is also excellent. I am very impressed by them so far. The tongue is thin but adequate and lacing is excellent (I use the runner knot hole too). Zero heel slipping.

Cannot comment on durability as I’ve put about 6 hours on them so far.

Asking for my knees: How is the cushioning (and bounce) compared to Mizuno WET?

I have knee issues and I only play on HC. The bounce is comparable or even better on the Lacoste vs Mizunos. The cushioning is also similar but a tad better with Mizunos. I still prefer Mizunos but a very close call

All the current colors are 30% off if you create an account on the Lacoste site.
I am a little late, but thanks for sharing!

A little surprised they still had my size so I snagged two more.

I'll post a pic of all the pairs once I get them in for people to see what they prefer in outside/natural lighting

My pair of the above colour scheme arrived last week. Can’t say I’ve used them much because of the stupid weather in the UK at the moment. I have at least tried these with and without an orthotic insole and prefer them without so far. Toe box is slightly less than my Kswiss Hypercourt Supreme 2’s, but these feel lower to the ground. Heel lock down is on par with my Mizuno Wave Enforce Tours, if not more comfortable due to the padded tongue. I think I’ll use these over the summer months and rotate every week with my Kswiss. Will post further updates when I can especially on durability, as many have reported the soles are not very durable!

Call me crazy. But I saw in Lacoste’s website they had 13.5 now in the non medvedev logo’d shoes.

I’m a true 13. I’d love to have that extra toe room.

Has anybody tried the allcourt outsole on clay?
I find it hard to find a good colourway with the clay outsole.
But looking at the allcourt outsoule with the herringbone pattern I assume it would offer great traction as well. Can somebody confirm?

The all court outsole has really good traction on Har Tru clay. It’s mostly a herringbone pattern as is. I went through the same exercise and have had no issues with the standard outsole.

It’s not as grippy as a Gel Res clay outsole but I’ve had no issues
