Lacoste Tennis Apparel Sucks

I tried on some of the Lacoste tennis apparel and the shirts felt like they were made out of the most basic polyster nylon. The quality was no better than any generic shirt and definitely not on par with the best Nike stuff (even though the prices were almost twice as much).

I own some of their casual wear, and find it to be of good quality, but come on, the tennis stuff is lousy. The fit is also awful (very baggy).

I only buy/wear lacoste polo ('la chemise 100% cotton made in France' is the best and lasts for 5-8 yrs.), this is for casual wear. For tennis i like nike or adidas (the non cotton 'dri-fit' type).

Lacoste has a different feel than Nike but their apparel is normally top notch. I agree that their stuff normally stays in good shape after many washes.

I'm with the OP. Their casual wear is awesome. Tennis gear not so much. I can't comment on Nike polos though don't buy any, only buy the shorts which I really like.

I tried Lacoste.

It didn't breathe well. Sturdy in construction but a bit blah in design.

Anyone interested in buying?

The Nike Federer polos are nicer than Lacoste tennis stuff, both in terms of style, fit and comfort. Most people seem to agree with me.

Why should I visit my therapist?

Strange. I bought a pair of their shorts and thought they were the finest tennis shorts out there, both in look, comfort, and quality of material. I love Nike's stuff too though.

yeah the clothing is half decent tho. get a size bigger because you get a little more room and less of that icky polyester feel. the roddick collection is very comfortable in my opinion

100% .... I've been wearing them for last 5-6 years and they are the best.

I bought 3 Lacoste (Roddick collection) and they've been hanging inthe closet collecting dust for the last year. Can't wear them, too heavy and feeling like plastic.

I have another thread about their tennis shoes, the worst in the world.
