Laid Back Wrist Question

Rookie
I just need a quick clarification on the laid back wrist as I have been told two different things. Is the laid back wrist on a forehand achieved by

a) Bending your wrist back towards your forearm (similar to a reverse wrist curl).

or

b) By taking your hand/arm as a unit and rotating it clockwise if you are a righty. (supination).

Appreciate any help.

Hello
5263 I have a question
I know that the supination is established when I start swinging forward. However I read some old posts of Bungalow Bill and he says that the lay back(bend backward) can happen during the backswing or keeping the wrist neutral during the backswing and bending backward and supinating at the same time when I start swinging forward. Those old posts were before the 5fps videos. So I would like to know if both concepts are correct. And I d like to know about tilt the wrist down a little bit to increase stability and TS.Does That really helps
Thank you

Leonard, both takebacks are ok. The cocked wrist takebacks are more common among female players if you take notice however. I have a neutral grip when I take back because I feel the cocked wrist makes me tighten up. I believe it's preference. As long as your wrist is locked on contact, and your contact is square/closed (depending on your shots), you will be fine. The best way to judge your motion is to film yourself.
