Hi Tim,
I agree, Supernatural was a great string. As I mentioned in a post on March 1st. we are working with medical fiber experts in the U.S. and Germany in effort to reproduce Supernatural Gut. It will take some time, but I never say never. Other string brands told us we couldn't manufacture co-poly's in the U.S. but we did it. So stay tuned, we love producing products that set a new standard for quality and innovation.

Regards,

Team Laserfibre

Great let me know if you can bring back the Supernatural Gut.

Ya right better than the old super natural gut in almost every way. Lol. Nothing is better than that string and I guess the new company can’t reproduce it for some reason.

What you know... you play a full bed of ALU Power at 70 lbs.. you might as well use a 2 x 4... ;)

I know a lot more about tennis strings than you do that’s for sure, which you proved how little you know when you said that the new Laserfibre company has a string that’s as good if not better than Supernatural Gut. Lol. Funny the Laserfibre rep even responded saying that they are working hard to try and make a new version of Supernatural Gut. Which obviously proves that they don’t have anything like it yet.

Too funny... Like I said... keep using that ALU Power at 70 Lbs. Lots of players and stringers in the know are stringing poly in the upper 60 and 70s.

Been stringing and playing longer than you have been alive I am betting.. :).

I have play-tested both... the Supreme 2.0 is better for sure. The durability of the of the old product was bad... short string life for sure. The new product even in the 17G is very durable for a multi. BTW.. have you played the Supreme 2.0? I am on my 6th set???

There are pro players that use poly in the 60’s and some at 70 lbs. so I guess you know more about what works than they do. Plus they change to new string jobs every half hour so rec players cannot compare their tensions to pro players unless they change strings that often.

Oh... sorry... you are using this???

"17 gauge ashaway Kevlar mains at 62lbs. with Weiss cannon UC 17 gauge crosses at 70 lbs". Yeah.. you know stringing... :p

Ya you should give it a try it’s a great set up.

Hi LF, how are you compared to TechnoF X-one Biophase 17g (Multifilament) and which one of your strings would compete with them?

Also, a q to everyone.
Why one would use Poly in Crosses and natural gut (MultiFilament) in Mains and vice versa?
I was thinking to try Vorso Mains and Natural Gut in Crosses for preserving arm.

Thank you.

LF has two nice multis. Supreme 2.0 17G would be the one I would try. I have used the other. The Supreme 2.0 has a very impressive outer coating that helps with snap back and durability. I have played both side by side. The Supreme 2.0 is a better price /performer in my book. X-1 might have more free power. Supreme is more stable over time and consistent. The x-1 17G sort of turns into a rocket launcher. The Vorso is quite soft for a poly. Has some shape to it and also holds tension well. I was playing last season... Supreme 2.0 17G (mains) and Head Sonic Pro 17G in the crosses. It was a poor mans Fed set-up. Held up great.

I also play a full bed of the Vorso 17G in my BLX Blade 98 18 x 20 and it is a great match for that frame.

Hello TW Shopper,

Thank you for your question. First, I will say that TF X-One Bi-Phase is a very good PU Multi. However, Our lab data shows that Laserfibre Supreme 2.0 is about 12-15% softer than X-One. Not only is Supreme 2.0 a soft and extremely comfortable PU Multi, it has a fantastic low friction polymer coating to help reduce friction. When you compare the two strings from a performance standpoint, I think you will be very pleased with the performance of Supreme 2.0. If you compare the two string from a cost perspective, you will thank me for the $6.00 per set savings when you purchase Supreme 2.0.

Btw...if you do try a blend of Vorso and Nat Gut, I would love to see how that plays for you. Vorso is such a unique poly, as it has almost twice to elongation as most poly's. I think blending Vorso with Nat. Gut will be a fantastic combination! I'm going to try it myself and we can compare notes.

Thanks again for your question. We really enjoy communicating with our current or perspective customers.

Best regards,

Team LF

A lot of my teammates love your polys, especially the smooth. I tried both the smooth and the edge, a hybrid would be amazing with the string to ball friction from the edge in the mains and the slick smooth crosses. Color is nice too. Actually, one of my friends in college is sponsored by you guys.

Styksnstryngs,

Thank you so much to you and your teammates for your support of Laserfibre strings. We strive to make all of our customers satisfaction with Laserfibre products our top priority.

I would say the hybrid combo of Edge in the mains and Smooth in the crosses would be very interesting and potentially a spin monster. We would love to hear your feedback when you try it out.

Always great to hear about the college players enjoying Laserfibre strings. Edge and Smooth are our best sellers for the college teams.

Thanks again for your support!

Yeah, I can't imagine too many college players using a multi, and the vorso is probably a little soft for harder hitters.

You are correct... Vorso seems to be perfect for folks trying poly for the 1st time or older players with sensitive arms. I love the Vorso... I am indeed an older player.

@Laserfibre Official, @CopolyX recommended I might want to try a hybird of Babolat Origin mains x Laserfibre Supreme 2.0 crosses at 58/58lbs. So I went to the court today with identical rackets one strung withfullbed Origin, one fullbed LF Sup. 2.0 and a Prince Classic Graphite 100 strung with Origin mains x LF Sup 2.0 crosses. Although I can play with either Origin or LF Sup 2.0 fullbed in my <62RA rackets I immediately perked up when hitting with the PCG100 strung with Orig x LF Sup 2.0.

I offered the 3.0 lady I feed balls and rally with once a week the PCG to try out. At the end our session she left with my PCG and left me her Babolat D that had ancient poly in it, saying she needed my racket with that hybrid string "stuff" until I got some more Origin and LF Sup 2.0 to string in her racket.

I love how some people think hybrid is a type of string- I told someone I recommended a hybrid, and they asked me if rpm blast was a hybrid. I'm excited to play test the jb tour 100, stuff is $15 a set compared to the $10 for smooth and edge and $12 for pro tour. I heard it's pretty soft, as well.

Funny, that lady is an engineer, sky diver, etc. I'm thinking she is at the point in tennis where she is going to begin to understand more about tennis equipment. She could tell right off the bat the difference between dead poly and Origin/Laserfibre Sup 2.0. I had to tell her about how fun poly is for the first few hours, but only for some hours, not weeks and weeks.

Hi Graycrait,

Thank you for sharing this story. We are happy to hear that you and your customer are enjoying Supreme 2.0. I'm sure blending Supreme 2.0 with another very good string like Origin makes for a very comfortable set-up.

Always feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

I have not played the LF 1200... can you give us a quick review? How does it compare to other high end multis?? x-1, NRG2.. xcel?

.......IMHO it compares very favorablly. Pocketing is as good or better than most multis I have used, but understand I'm using it in low flex racquet (by today's standards) and stringing it at 45/49..... so far I've only used it as a full bed and like it so well I see no reason to go back to X-1 or NRG2.

I have a set of the 1200 but have not had the chance to string it up yet. I have used the Supreme 2.0 in 17G and is plays crisp and really is designed to be a modern mutli. I love it in the mains with a slick and soft poly in the crosses. Sort of a Natty Gut /poly hybrid. I was getting nice snap-back, spin and very good tension maintenance. Nice balance of power and control. I was using Head Sonic Pro 17G in the crosses which made for a very arm happy set-up. Thanks for your insights.

I am using a frame a frame with a low flex.. 57..with this set-up

Could I recommend that you should reverse what you are going to do. IMHO, I think the gut mains would be better for control and the Vorso as crosses help as well. I use this setup and enjoy it very much. Lots of control and feel.

Team Laserfibre how much pre-stretching should be done with the Vorso strings? You suggested that on an earlier pasting here. I want to makes sure I am having that done correctly. I have been enjoying the Vorso string very much.

Please advice. I use flexible Prince Tour 100 16x18 (Flexibility 54) with TF X-One 17 full bed @ 65 tension. I try preserving my arm. However, it feels that I am not generating enough power compare to people with Poly strings. Could you please advise me a hybrid out of your Multi and Polys strings to generate good power and spin and what tension would you use for it.

My 1st serve speed is 100 m/hr.

Thank you for an insight.

X-One is one of the most powerful strings that is not natural gut. If you like the string, try lowering the tension. Maybe start with 60 pounds and if that doesn't work drop down to 55 pounds after that.

I have a string set of Edge installed in a D3 player who is so far really enjoying it. I don't recall what he was using before. Most of my players that have been liking the Edge are usually ones who can generate their own power. Another player who is 3.5/4.0 level player is enjoying the Native Tour. And last but not least is the teaching pro i'm coaching with also likes Edge but after a break in period. He is also hitting with Vorso and seems to like it a bunch. He can def tear the fuzz off the ball and plays at a 4.5 level.

My personal LF string adventure is with Smooth (Radical Bumblebee OS), Native Fiber(Prestige YTMP), JB Tour (Angell TC95). And each has been a great adventure. I put the Smooth in the BUmblebee as the packaging said it would help with control and spin. With the racquet being very powerful, this helped the racquet shine. Native Tour mentioned Power and Snapback. I felt that would help well in the 18x20 racquet and it is great.

Great question mctennis! Vorso is such a unique poly. Most poly's have elongation between 4-5.5. Vorso has an elongation of 9.2, so it has some characteristics of a multi. Therefore we have found that pre-stretching Vorso really helps to find it's sweet spot and reduce tension loss. I use a fixed object to wrap the string around and give it a constant pull for 10-15 seconds. Give it a try, I think you will really enjoy this unique poly.

Thanks for your support of LF products.

is Vorso better than JB string ?
Thanks for your question Nostradamus,

SteveI said it best, they are two completely different strings. Vorso is a poly that plays like a softer poly with a little hint of multi sprinkled in. I think this string is a true sleeper, as it is so unique and give you the best of both worlds. Give it a try and let us know what you think. As for JB Tour, think ALU power with a little more pop. James was very specific in what he wanted from his string and when we developed JB Tour, James knew right away it was the string for him.

What racquet and tension are you using with the Native Tour?

I enjoyed JB Tour. It is an honest string...gives out what you put in. For the set up I used it in and my type of game...I am interested if this ever comes out in a textured version.

Shirt size...I'm husky :D

I want to personally spend some time with Edge and get my own feel for it. Just quick hits here and there with my friends racquets that I've put them in (RF97A, SixOne95, PrestigeMID) so it's hard to get a fair shake of my own on the string. All fun racquets to hit with.

I agree, JB Tour is a great string and a very good value for people using ALU Power, but want to save a few bucks.

As for Edge, our college guys love this string. I'm getting a little too old to play full bed of Edge, but it does hybrid nice with a good multi.
