I would look at late 70s / early 80s AO for candidates. I guess someone will check this if they haven't already.

It is what it is. Grass is worse, there's been no real grass court players since the 90's except Federer, then there been no grass/carpet/wood/fast HC Tourneys to make a living on since the 90's. Clay and Slow HC where it's at as a professional making a living.

I don't understand why tennis authorities are trying to make games longer
PC: I never watch rafa/joker/muzza's match on TV. I check scores on net and then highlights. And highlights don't do justice to dustin, monfils, kyrgios' matches so I watch them live.
